Misleading marketing and arrogant customer service

I’ve been a Wingo customer for many years. I switched from Wingo International to Europe Pro because I no longer needed coverage for the US/Canada — but the name “Europe Pro” is highly misleading.
Calls from Switzerland to Europe are not included, even though the plan name and infographic clearly suggest otherwise.

I received a bill for over CHF 400 with no warning, even though Wingo blocks roaming after CHF 50 of extra charges.
Customer service simply repeated that “the terms are clear” and refused to escalate or review the case.

A Swisscom brand should stand for transparency and fairness, not shift blame onto loyal customers.

They are Scam, AVOID!!
They charged me for the reminder fee of invoice that I paid (but somehow the transaction didn’t go through, and I’m pretty sure it wasn’t from my bank twint) and everything was in German only. I didn’t aware what was happening until they blocked my signal for days! I paid for it to unlock the signal but hence next month they charged me again for that stupid invoice and the ‘unlocking fee’. In total I was charged for about a hundred without being acknowledged before and I can’t do anything about it. And in order to contact, you can only PAY to call their hotline or wait forever to chat with someone in WhatsApp. The agent was just copy paste and maybe google translate the German contract (that again I didn’t know of existed). Enough with them I’m moving to a new provider.

Overcharged at check in

When booking I paid extra for a checked bag but at check in they charged me $37500 extra for the bag! I
Initially they said the extra charge was because I did not check in online (I did not receive any prior information about this) but on my confirmation email it says the extra charge is for bagged.
There's no way my bag weighed over 23kgs as I usually take it as a cabin bag and I checked my booking and I 100% already had the bag added.
I've contacted them to ask for a refund.

Quitting the contract

When I left Switzerland in April 2024, I quit my Wingo contract as well. Wingo kept sending me a bill for CHF 3.50 for October 2023 that I couldn't understand (as I had always paid the monthly fee by scanning the QR code). I emailed them and got generic replies. I tried to call but got stuck in an infinite waiting loop. Now, they're sending me a bill for CHF 49 as if I was still getting internet from them (I would have expected 3.50 + some fee). I'm not saying that they're right or wrong in sending me a bill over CHF 3.50 -- it's just that there's zero explanation, accountability or process for resolution. Essentially, if they decided to send me a bill over CHF 66.66 every 1st of April for the rest of my life; I can either pay or go to court.

Wingo.com blackpatterns and abusive policy

This is for wingo.com as trustpilot has disabled they profile.

I bought the wrong ticket and try to get a reimbursement literally 10 seconds after I bought it and they don't allow this.

I assume my fault as it's my error but the fligth will happen in more than a month, and a realized the error immediately.

Also their page is full of blackpatterns to make people take the extras, like automatically adding an extra "optional" bag that it is not optional because it is impossible to disable that "extra"

Will never fly with this company again and i advice everyone to avoid it, this kind of bad actors should die in the free market, let's speed that up!

Do not book with this airline! They are a scam. I don't know how they're still in business.
Please read all of their 1-star reviews. They're exceptionally rude and unprofessional. And they cancel flights or deny boarding for no reason and you'll never get your money back.

These are the rudest the most horrible…

These are the rudest the most horrible people working for an airline that I had encountered and I fly a lot. I honestly hope this airline goes out of business. They didn’t let me on the flight even though I had a return ticket which was required to board. The ticket was bought through a 3rd party and I didn’t have the confirmation code but I had 2 confirmation emails. So his wasn’t enough for them. They closed the door in my face and started laughing.
I bought a flight with avianca instead.
I will definitely never fly with Wingo again. I spent 3 months in Colombia and had a great time. And on the day I’m leaving this happens. This honestly makes me never travel to this country again. Thanks Wingo

Worse airlines and customer service i ever seen
İ just check to opportunity to change my ticket dates we bought with friends and it was changing for both of us and i didn't do anything not confirm or accept that's situation. After that they cancel my original flight and they put new date and paid 4.82 dolar for change i tried to change back original date and they wanted 712 dolar for us. İ even not try to change or confirm anything just check on website. İ never seen such a trick before. İ tried to reach their call center even i went Medellin airport no one answer call center no office at airport. Worse expreince ever.

DO NOT USE WINGO - Trust the reviews on here. We're not exaggerating.

I booked two flights with Wingo - one from Bogota to Cartagena and another from Medellin to Bogota two weeks later.

For each flight money was taken out of my bank account as standard.

When I tried to manage my booking on their website and on their APP it said 'Reservation Cancelled'.

I contacted them and submitted information request forms clearly explaining this. I got no response. Then when I contacted Booking.com (the travel agent who I booked the flights with, they were able to contact Wingo and immediately find out that Wingo has arbitrarily cancelled the flight after taking my money and not telling me.

I am in the process on finding out whether my flight from Medellin to Bogota has also been cancelled by them and I think it's highly likely it has been also.

Stick to Avianca. They're a little more expensive but a much safer option. Wingo is a scam and from reading other's reviews it's highly likely they'll screw you over somehow. Stay away from them!

"Disappointing Experience: Denied Boarding and Discrimination with Wingo Airlines"

My experience with Wingo Airlines on a San Jose to Bogotá flight was deeply disappointing. Despite arriving on time from Houston with all necessary documentation, including valid transit credentials for my Venezuelan wife and myself, we were unjustly denied boarding. Wingo's refusal, citing an alleged passport expiration, was baseless, as we were in transit. Stranded in Costa Rica with our 2-year-old daughter, we incurred additional expenses securing an alternative flight with Copa Airlines, Wingo's affiliate. Copa Airlines confirmed Wingo's misconduct and the discriminatory nature of their actions. This ordeal was not only inconvenient but also distressing. Wingo must address these issues promptly to avoid further harm to passengers.
