It has been great to deal with YBS. I can't fault them!

It has been great to deal with YBS Manchester Branch. The people there are so friendly, welcoming and supportive.
I needed to set up an APS (Inheritance) ISA following my husband's death last year. Obviously, it is not the best time to have to deal with finance matters and it is a complicated process, as I have found from other banking institutions. But YBS staff made it so easy and straightforward. The advisor (Karen Slattery) was incredibly considerate and supportive. She completed the forms for me on-line and explained the process. I then received regular updates by post & the ISA was funded promptly as soon as the allowed contribution was confirmed. I can't fault Karen or YBS! Definitely 5 stars for both of them.

Easy ordering & very speedy delivery

Detailed information about each product, including detailed measurements made ordering very easy. There was an excellent range of products. Our door handles were delivered the next day! Amazing service! (although the courier took them to the wrong house) - but our neighbour brought them round.

Excellent Service from Richer Sounds - ask about setting up your new tech

Matt (Deansgate, Manchester store) was really helpful when we enquired about a new TV and soundbar. He was very patient in talking my wife, Wendy, through the card payment process. We feel we got a good deal on our purchase. The delivery process on 6th January was excellent (Thankyou to Ibrahim & Karol). We were notified of the delivery time window & had a further call 20 minutes before our items arrived. Karol & Ibrahim were really nice guys who gave some advice about unpacking the TV safely. We also received a follow up email from Matt to check how we were getting on with the TV & soundbar.
My only suggestion is that you advise customers if they need to download apps & information to set up tech purchases. My wife was able to do this (eventually!) but I wouldn't have had a hope of setting up the soundbar by myself.

Why ask you to change your password when you just want to change your tariff???

My email about changing my tariff was answered promptly - good start. She confirmed there would be no exit charges-also good. For some reason the agent sent me another email stating I must change my password - why? This link then was 'expired' and I found I was locked out of my account. I had to then request to change my password -which I did. It took 3 attempts to get into my account with a new password. THEN I changed my tariff - should have been easy - but was exhausting & exasperating!

Great but needs another fridge shelf

Pleased with fridge freezer. It is quiet- important in shared living / kitchen space. E-rated for energy efficiency, so should be cheaper to run than my previous 17 year old appliance. Some space in freezer is on the small side eh fast-freeze drawer & bottom (veg) drawer but overall capacity is good. I would have given 5 stars if there had been another shelf for the fridge. Seems an unnecessary & irritating economy.

Fair price for 5 star cover but too much 'paper'!!

Easy to see main features of cover for my travel insurance. Clear questions on medical conditions. Fair price for 5* rated cover. Only gripe is the amount of 'paper'. A 61 page policy document for travel cover is excessive & I speak as someone who has dealt with insurance claims. It is clearly unreasonable to expect someone to absorb that much detail. The policy detail seems to set out reasons why claims might NOT be covered rather than being reassuring that you have sound cover.

Excellent bargain and a top-rated product

I researched floor cleaners carefully before purchasing this machine. The VAX ONEPWR had the best reviews & was recommended by Good Housekeeping. It was easy to order on-line except for the order process putting two items in the basket a few times! That sorted, it was a bargain with £50 off the list price & a free extra brush roller & cleaning fluid. It was delivered the following day and, because I ordered direct from Vax, my product was automatically registered for Vax's 3 year guarantee - great product with excellent service all round!

Good causes. Shame about sales tactics!

I have supported Omaze because of the enticing prizes but mainly because it raises money for good causes. However, I do think they send too many emails asking people to pay more as it's 'the last chance to enter'. This encourages some people to spend more than they can afford. It is also very annoying when Omaze send further emails reducing the price of entries. This is unfair to those who have already paid in. The cost of entries into the draw & the number of entries given for a payment should be kept the same throughout the period leading up to the draw. You don't sell raffle tickets cheaper after lots of people have already bought them.

A chance of a prize for a good cause

Omaze supports an excellent cause, Teenage Cancer Trust, through its raffle & prize draws. It doesn't give information about the chances of winning a cash prize or the main ' Million Pound House Raffle' but most people are happy to buy 'tickets' as it's for a great charity. My only concern is that some people may be encouraged by to pay more than they can afford because of the frequent emails & countdowns to the next draw

We recently purchased 2 items - collect from store.Lovely staff. Excellent service - even helped us load the car.
I would give Dwell 5 stars if their delivery charges weren't so high - £49!

Good advice & updates on progress

Lifesearch gave good advice re best type of cover needed and I was very pleased that Dave Pettitt & Dylan Anderson kept me informed of progress with my application on a weekly basis. The insurance company L & G were very slow in dealing with the application but Lifesearch agents tried their best to expedite the process. The only downside was that the policy was not set up in trust as I expected - fortunately I do read things carefully & noticed this & requested trust forms but I could just as easily have filed away the policy without realising and that could have caused problems later, hence 4 stars not 5.

Excellent, professional & friendly service. Can't fault it!
