Powergy – Excellent Experience, Highly Recommended
Like many customers, I was initially hesitant to commit to Powergy due to a few early discrepancies I noticed during my research (company name variations, MCS registration details, etc.). This naturally made me cautious. However, Louise was absolutely outstanding in addressing every single question I had, openly and patiently, which very quickly built my confidence.
Louise designed an initial system and then worked through a large number of design changes as my understanding of solar improved. To put this into context, my original quote was around £7.5k, and I eventually chose a much larger, better-engineered system costing roughly £5k more. At no point was there any pressure, upselling, or hard sales tactics. Every change was discussed logically, explained clearly, and made solely to improve the final design and long-term performance. Louise is extremely knowledgeable, approachable, and accommodating, a real credit to the company.
One important point worth highlighting is that Powergy is actually their own worst enemy during the sales process. They don’t emphasise enough that they have dedicated staff for aftercare, system support, and billing. Knowing later that Dan exists to support app setup and system questions, and that Kiele handles payments and documentation, was hugely reassuring. This level of structure is actually one of Powergy’s strongest selling points and should be mentioned earlier to customers.
The installation experience was equally positive. Despite the installation being scheduled just after a heavy snow week, Luke and Brandon arrived on the planned day without issue. Both were friendly, professional, and clearly experienced. Luke discussed cable routes and system details with me while Brandon got started on the roof. The job was originally planned for two days but ran slightly over due to unavoidable issues, which wasn’t a problem for us at all. They returned the following Thursday, this time with Harry alongside Luke, and completed the installation and handover.
The handover itself wasn’t overly detailed, but this was entirely understandable as it was very late, extremely cold, and they’d had a long day. The key system elements and app setup were explained, which was sufficient at the time. Any follow-up questions were handled promptly afterwards. Scaffolding took a few extra days to come down, but I was kept informed throughout, which mattered far more than speed. The scaffolding team was based several hours away, so the delay was expected and communicated clearly.
Another point that may concern some people: Powergy never visited the site prior to installation. Many local installers treat this as a red flag, but in my view, it really isn’t. Everything was handled accurately through photos, videos, and remote design tools. Unless you have a particularly complex or unusual installation, an early site visit often feels more like a sales tactic than a technical requirement. In my case, the install went exactly as designed.
After installation, I was handed over to Dan, who helped with app configuration and system setup, and then to Kiele, who managed payment and paperwork. Importantly, Powergy completed the work before taking a penny, which says a lot about their confidence and professionalism. All documentation promised by Louise was provided exactly as agreed.
Overall, I’ve ended up with an excellent solar system at a very competitive price, delivered by a genuinely strong team. For anyone considering solar: do your due diligence, ask questions, and get multiple quotes but don’t fall for the “local installer” myth. Many local installers are one-person operations managing everything from sales to aftercare, and you often pay significantly more for that. In reality, most system monitoring and optimisation can be done remotely, and any physical faults are handled under manufacturer warranties regardless.
I honestly don’t see how I would have received better service by paying £5k more with a local installer or a big national name. Powergy delivered exactly what they promised.
I’d be more than happy to act as a reference for anyone considering them.
Great install - fantastic service
Install date: 2nd Feb 2026.
I saw an advert for powergy on Facebook, it seemed like an insane deal, originally I wanted to get a Tesla power wall but after doing my own research the thought of additional batteries led me in the direction of having a Sig energy installation, had a lot of back and forth with Harry P, he was great he went above and beyond to help reassure me of the price, explained how it breaks down and also said that I had to pay nothing until I'm happy and it's all installed. I decided to go for it and I'm glad I did, I can see immediate results. I originally wanted 10 panels and 9kw battery the installers came with 15 panels and tried their best to fit more but my roof simply couldn't fit them and this wouldn't have cost me any more so that would have been great but wasn't to be. Install was great on time, friendly, professional. Highly recommend.
Aiko and Sigenergy Install - Cheshire
Powergy installed 16 x Aiko 475w all-black panels across two elevations, along with a 10kw Sigenergy Inverter, 2 x 10kwh Sigenergy Batteries and a whole house back-up gateway. From initial quote through to install they have been great to work with, particularly Dan who did the site survey, paperwork and answered all of my ridiculous questions quickly and efficiently, and Luke who did the install single handedly over 2.5 days!
We had great experience using Powergy.
We had a great experience using Powergy. Solar installations can be complex and feel like a daunting prospect to embark upon but Louise, Kiele, the scaffolding guys and Luke our installer managed us through it brilliantly.
Do it Do it Do it
Our quote was handled by Louise who was very knowledgeable. The whole process was a breeze and no payment was required upfront. The main thing I would say to anyone thinking of solar is dont over complicate the decision process. If you can afford tesla then get tesla. They will fit as many panels on the day as they can get on your roof. 1 more or 1 less is not the end of the world. We got 13 panels that can cover 7.1kw in January. Brandon and Luke installed my system and their work was 1st class. Thanks guys!!!
If you have electric cars and go on an off peak tariff to save money it wont happen without battery storage for your home. Example.... we were on 24p. To get 7p overnight we are now 34p during the day!!!! The answer is to cover your daily use with battery storage charged up on off peak. Example... we use 20.5kw average so we have a power wall 3 + expansion giving us 21.5kw of storage (Tesla 80% useable + 5% reserve for power cuts). We hopefully will rarely touch the 34p rate.
Remember you will get 15p for anything sold back to the grid.
We also had a Tesla car charger fitted which has vastly improved out charging times.
We also just claimed the £750 rebate so things are looking good.. we are very glad we did it and can highly recommend POWERGY
I recently had Powergy Solar install a…
I recently had Powergy Solar install a 32-panel system along with a Tesla Powerwall and Gateway, and overall I’m very happy with the experience.
Pricing and terms: Powergy came in at the lower end of the quotes I received. A big deciding factor for me was their no upfront payment policy — they were the only company that offered “nothing to pay until the system is fully installed and running,” which gave me a lot of confidence.
DNO and scheduling: Powergy submitted the DNO application on my behalf. Once the DNO offer was received, there was a wait before installation was scheduled. It fell over the Christmas period, so I understand the delay, but it’s the only negative I can point to in the whole process.
Installation: The install was handled by Luke, who did a fantastic job. He kept the site tidy throughout, confirmed the location of every piece of kit upfront, and then just cracked on with the work. I asked for black conduit instead of the white he had on hand — he said no problem, went to a local supplier, and got the black conduit to match the aesthetic. The whole system was installed and commissioned within 3 days.
Documentation and next steps: I received the MCS certificate about a week after commissioning from Powergy. I’ve submitted the export application to my energy supplier and am now just waiting for that to be processed. Now I just need some sun!
Overall, I’d highly recommend Powergy Solar for their competitive pricing, customer-friendly payment terms, and professional installation team. Apart from the scheduling delay over the holidays, everything was smooth and well-managed.
Excellent Solar Installation Experience
I chose Powergy after Harry P offered a great deal on a system with 14 × 475W Aiko panels, a Tesla Powerwall 3 with an expansion pack, and a Tesla Backup Gateway. Harry P was professional, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to deal with throughout the process.
The installation team did an excellent job — everything was completed neatly, and they even routed the Backup Gateway cables through the cavity for a clean, professional look.
The system has been running flawlessly for a couple of weeks now, and the Tesla app provides clear visibility of the solar generation and power usage.
All commissioning and insurance documents were emailed to me within a week of payment. I also appreciated that no payment was required until I was completely satisfied with the installation — giving me total peace of mind.
A company to Trust
Brilliant! At first, i was a bit skeptical about solar in total. This was mainly because, i gathered mismatching information from different providers. Some boasted about the particular pv panel, or battery thats exclusive to them to be the best.
Pushy marketing was another one thing which put me off from the solar possibilities for over an yr.
I took a quote from Powergy in October, and that was one of the most competitive price i received. So arranged for a call back. Having gathered lot of information from youtube, many customers…i had a whole list of questions. To my Surprise, Louise was exceptional and I realised, she knew what exactly she is selling. No pushy tactics. She arranged Luke and Brendon for my installation.
14 Aiko 510 watt panels, 3 Aiko 475 watt, 8kwh sigenergy inverter, 9.04 kwh Sigenergy battery storage installed on 27 January. They literally raised the bar for electricians. I saw the neat and tidy wire setup I’ve ever done in my home.
Looking forward to the scaffold which is coming off on the 2nd Feb.
Overall- 5 out of 5 stars
Briliant service altogether!!
Briliant service altogether!!! Louise has helped all the way through and had the patience to answer all my questions and never felt like I was being rushed. The installation took 2 days and all went smoothly.
Thank you all for the help.
Powergy Solar and battery installation
I recently had a solar and battery system installed by Powergy and I honestly couldn’t be happier with the entire experience from start to finish.
From the very beginning, Powergy stood out for being competitively priced without cutting corners. The level of expertise throughout the design and installation process was excellent, and at no point did I feel pressured by pushy sales tactics. Everything was explained clearly, honestly, and at my pace, which I really appreciated.
A huge thank you goes to Daniel Minter, the solar designer, who went out of his way whenever I had questions—sometimes even replying to messages in the evening. He was extremely accommodating with any suggestions I had and always made time for video calls to discuss ideas and overcome any potential obstacles. His knowledge and willingness to help made the whole process stress-free and reassuring.
I’d also like to give a big thank you to Mike, the electrician and solar installer. He was polite, friendly, and very knowledgeable, and did a great job with the installation. This was especially impressive considering he was quite unwell during both days of the install, yet still remained professional and thorough throughout.
The installation itself was smooth, well organised, and completed to a high standard. Post-sale service has also been excellent, with Powergy remaining responsive and helpful after the system was installed.
There was some minor remedial work that has now been completed, with no fuss or drama.
I will absolutely be returning to Powergy in the future when I have more roof space available.
And I’ll be recommending them to friends and family
I would highly recommend Powergy to anyone considering solar and battery—great pricing, genuine expertise, professional installation, and excellent customer service without the sales pressure.
From my first enquiry and a call from…
From my first enquiry and a call from Louise this has been such a great experience. With Brandon fitting the Panels and Luke doing the Electrical work. And Kiele in the office having to rearrange things as i had a Hospital Operation in the middle of the install. The whole process has been a joy. Nothing has been a problem and I would recommend Powergy to anyone. Oh and the price was the best too.
Great price and great install.
They gave a very competitive quote for Sigenergy system, was bit hesitant early as not a known big brand. But after the conversation with Louise felt confident as there was no sale push. Fact full payment is made after the installation also gave the confidence. Install took few days thanks to bad weather, but the guys did a proffesional job. So a very happy customer. Hope Sigenergy live up to the hype now!.
Really competitive pricing and professional service.
Really competitive pricing, great reliable polite company, from scaffolding team, fitters Brandon, Luke 2. & the office staff. Everything went smoothly and we are extremely pleased with the finished system.
Solar Home Setup done to Perfection
The planning, design and execution was perfect. All appointments were made and kept with my convenience in mind. The design of the solar system and placement of on-site storage batteries were made keeping my suggestions under consideration.
Above all the system created is working perfectly and was installed perfectly.
Powergy gave a competitive quote for…
Powergy gave a competitive quote for 16x 475w Aiko Panels, Tesla Powerwall 3 + Expansion pack and a Tesla Backup Gateway. As promised, the lads arrived on the installation date promptly at 9am. The installation is very neat and tidy and any broken tiles were replaced withy spares I had lying around. They also took the extra time to route cables through the cavity for the backup gateway so it looks clean and professional. The system has now been up and running for a couple of weeks and all is working well. The Tesla app even shows the total solar generation including my old 10 year old FIT array.
All commissioning documents and insurance details etc were received by email within a week of payment. The bonus being that I didn't have to pay anything until I was happy with the installation, so this gave added peace of mind.
Fantastic service and Great Team!!!!
After numerous quotes I decided to go with powergy as they provided a very competitive price for solar panels and battery installation and there was no pushy salesman unlike most other firms.
Dealt with Louise from start to finish and she made the whole process a breeze from answering all the questions and keeping us in the loop throughout the whole process of install.
The team were professional, punctual, and clearly very knowledgeable. Everything was explained clearly before the installation, including how the system works and what to expect in terms of performance and savings.
The installation itself was completed By Luke efficiently and to a very high standard. The site was left clean and tidy, and all paperwork and certifications were provided promptly.
Since installation, the system has been performing exactly as promised, and the battery has made a noticeable difference to our energy usage.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this company to anyone considering solar and battery storage.
Best in the market: Unbeatable
I had an excellent experience with PowerGy for my solar and Tesla Powerwall 3 installation. From the very first discussion to completion, everything that was agreed was delivered exactly as promised.
I had a strict requirement for installation by a particular date, and despite it being just before Christmas, PowerGy went out of their way to accommodate this — which I know is not easy during such a busy period. I signed the quote on 11th December, and the full installation was completed on time on 19th December, exactly as committed.
A special thanks to Harry, who made this tight timeline possible and ensured everything was smoothly coordinated. Luke and the installation team were outstanding — professional, efficient, and extremely neat in their workmanship.
The system installed includes 14 Aiko Nanotech all-black solar panels, Tesla Powerwall 3, and Gateway 2. The panels are very aesthetic, highly efficient, and look fantastic on the roof. Bird guarding and scaffolding were fully arranged, making the process completely hassle-free.
PowerGy also handled the entire DNO G99 application and all associated paperwork, which took a lot of stress out of the process. The price offered was the best and genuinely unbeatable compared to other quotes I received.
Overall, PowerGy are very approachable, transparent, and trustworthy. I would highly recommend them to anyone considering solar and battery installation.
Great from start to finish
From the start of the process Louise guided me through the steps and what was next. No deposit taken until the work done and I was happy. Luke and Brandon were the installers and did a great job and accommodated requests I had and did the job in appalling weather! I had 14 solar panels and Tesla Powerwall 3 with gateway. Very happy.
I would like to commend Powergy
I would like to commend Powergy, particularly Louise, for the exceptional experience we had with the installation of our solar panels, battery storage, and EV charger. I had been searching for a suitable provider for some time but struggled to find a quote that aligned with my desired product, specifically Sigenergy. Powergy provided the most competitive quote among all proposals received, and they seamlessly accommodated my last-minute request for additional panels. Luke, the installer, performed an outstanding job, and I extend my commendation to him. Overall, Powergy delivered an impressive service, and I wholeheartedly recommend this team to anyone considering solar energy solutions; they will undoubtedly exceed your expectations. Thank you once again.
Stress free.
Read reviews on this company which spurred me on to give them a call. My first contact was with Louise, who took me through the whole process from start to finished. She took all my queries suggestions and waffle and answered all of them. The fact that they take no deposit until system is in place and I was given a competitive quote made the decision easy. When the guys come to fit the system, Luke and Brandon were attentive to where I wanted panels and cabling to go and made the whole thing seamless. After it was all fitted Louise was on hand for further advice re. Tariffs etc. all in all I can’t fault them.
