You can’t fake something unintentionally or unconsciously.

Faking an experience is done with full knowledge and conscious intent on your part of what you are doing.

If something is happening to you unintentionally, if you are doing something and unconsciously, you are having a legitimate experience of some kind.

If you’re faking something, you’re doing it deliberately. Faking something isn’t something that just happens to you. An experience is something that just happens to you.

“That lifetime was so lovely and uncomplicated for our relationship. Except for my horrible and untimely death.”

“You say that like that’s not a big deal!”

“Is it?”

What the hell kinda dumpster fire of a blog is this.

Are you actually, genuinely putting fictives/introjects in the same category as KIN????

This is BEYOND unreasonable.

I hope you grow a brain soon. And also realize that ENDO SYSTEMS WILL ONLY BE VALID ONCE THERE IS *ACTUAL* EVIDENCE TO THEIR EXISTENCE.

Endos dont exist.

Wow, it’s been a long time since we’ve gotten anonymous hate. Must be a real dumpster fire out there in syscourse land.

I assume you believe that the only fictionkin that are valid are psychologically based kin too– if you even believe they’re valid at all.

Please grow up and learn that some people have beliefs about their identities that aren’t psychological or mental health related.

Fictionkin and fictives with spiritual origins exist and live their lives in your world every day.

We have real, serious beliefs that are at the core of our existence, and affect the way we live our lives every day in the world.

Saying anyone who is plural has to have DID or they “don’t exist” is childish and absurd.

Obviously we exist, or who is typing this reply to your nonsense?

one of the frustrating things about being fictionkin or fictive– especially with a source that’s very popular– is that sometimes a popular fandom headcanon or fanon can distort your memory, or make you doubt your memory of the things that happened to you.

So this is a reminder for all my fictionkin and fictive friends.

Just because something’s a popular headcanon–hell, even if something is actually canon to your source material– that doesn’t mean that’s the way it happened to you.

Don’t let outside influences distort what you know about yourself– esspecially if they’re upsetting to you.

hello . i am an alter . i'm having trouble recognizing if i'm fictionkin or a fictive . any tips or pieces of advice ?

In cases like this, its up to you to decide what word suits you best.

My advice would be this:

If you, as a singular system member, have a singular identity and consider that to be the entirety of your ‘self’, then I would say that fictive might be the word that suits you best.

If you, as a singular system member, experience kin shifts into different identities, or memories from multiple lives, etc, all of which are you–not other members of your system– then I would say the word fictionkin suits you best.

Server interest check

Checking interest in a discord server geared toward:

  • 21+
  • metaphysical/spiritual kin and fictives
  • lightly moderated– no long topic/word blacklist
  • no irl political discussion
  • no discussion of kin/fictives from a mental health standpoint
  • no fandom wank (fandom talk fine, fandom politics bad).
  • primarily but not exclusively geared toward villain kin and fictives.
  • 2012 skype community vibes

It is perfectly acceptable to interact with the fandom of your kintype as long as you:

a) Don’t rub your kintype in the creator’s face, no matter how small or large their audience is.

b) Don’t attempt to tell other fans what they can and can’t do in fandom regarding your kintype or source. It does not belong to you.

Fandom belongs to everyone. Its okay to be fictionkin and still be in fandom, just don’t be a jerk or act with entitlement with regard to your kintype and source.

The same goes for soulbonds, fictives and fictional introjects as well.
