Hi!!! I came across your blog and got a bit curious; how can a fictive be a fictionkin, especially a spiritual one? This isn’t meant to be fake claiming by the way they are just as valid, I’m just curious on how it works. Thanks :)

It’s simply one of those inevitable vagaries of terminology.

There are 25(ish) souls (system members) sharing this body. Each of these souls is an individual. Each of these souls is part of a large, intertwined cycle of reincarnation that we are caught in together.

Each of us has lived through a number of incarnations– fictionkin lifetimes, in which we were incarnated together and interacted during that lifetime.

Each individual system member is fictionkin, and has their own kintypes. Experiencing a kin shift to that kintype makes them a fictive of that person.

For example, some of the lives we’ve been incarnated in are Homestuck, Danganronpa, Marvel, and Ace Attorney. So each member of the system has a kintype from Homestuck, Danganronpa, Marvel, and Ace Attorney. Vriska Serket is Toko Fukawa is Sabretooth is Klavier Gavin.

So when we’re talking about being fictionkin, we say that Toko Fukawa is one of Vriska’s kintypes. And when we’re talking about being plural we say we have a Toko Fukawa fictive.

Does that make sense?

Non-DID plurals are not lying to you about our personal internal experiences or faking large chunks of our own lives in order to upset you, trick you, or gain access to some mysterious benefit that doing so supposedly unlocks.

That is a fucking bonkers claim to make.

Imagine if you made that claim on a singlet– that you thought they were lying about their emotions, internal experiences and large chunks of their lives just to fuck with you personally.

What an extremely arrogant position. Non-DID plurals are just out here living our lives. Stop believing that we’re trying to gaslight you to access some benefit that doesn’t even exist.

What the hell kinda dumpster fire of a blog is this.

Are you actually, genuinely putting fictives/introjects in the same category as KIN????

This is BEYOND unreasonable.

I hope you grow a brain soon. And also realize that ENDO SYSTEMS WILL ONLY BE VALID ONCE THERE IS *ACTUAL* EVIDENCE TO THEIR EXISTENCE.

Endos dont exist.

Wow, it’s been a long time since we’ve gotten anonymous hate. Must be a real dumpster fire out there in syscourse land.

I assume you believe that the only fictionkin that are valid are psychologically based kin too– if you even believe they’re valid at all.

Please grow up and learn that some people have beliefs about their identities that aren’t psychological or mental health related.

Fictionkin and fictives with spiritual origins exist and live their lives in your world every day.

We have real, serious beliefs that are at the core of our existence, and affect the way we live our lives every day in the world.

Saying anyone who is plural has to have DID or they “don’t exist” is childish and absurd.

Obviously we exist, or who is typing this reply to your nonsense?

Sending warm feelings and positivity to all the fictionkin and fictives who miss and mourn skills that they know they should have, but no longer have access or ability to perform.

Is there any way to ask someone if thei are a system without comming off as rude? There is a friend of mine where I suspect that but I really don't know how to bring it up. (I'm a system as well but I haven't told anyone about it yet)

Start with asking if they’re familiar with systems. If they are, move on to asking if they know anyone who is a system. This will give them they opportunity to tell you that they are, if they’re comfortable. It opens the conversation in a general way and also gives you the opportunity to judge whether you should tell them that you a system or not (assuming they don’t already know.)

Also if your friend is a system and is unaware of that fact, opening the conversation this way gives the opportunity for them to realize maybe they are.
