| Ogres were not known for their intelligence. Thankfully, a two-headed ogre is born once every generation, a blessed individual whose combined brainpower puts him on par with the dullest of single-headed creatures. What he lacks in wits, he makes up for with Dumb Luck. The Ogre Magi possesses an innate chance to Multicast each ability they cast, Ignite enemies to cinder, quashing enemies by doubling, tripling, even quadrupling the damage from an Unrefined and simple Fireblast, boosting the power of his allies in a frenzied Bloodlust or protecting them in Orbs of Fire. Of course, luck can be difficult to rely upon... | |

Bio
[edit]Once is not enough!" "It's just as high as we can count.▶️Aggron Stonebreak, the Ogre Magi
Alias:
OM
Lore:
The ordinary ogre is the creature for whom the phrase 'As dumb as a bag of rock hammers' was coined. In his natural state, an ogre is supremely incapable of doing or deciding anything. Clothed in dirt, he sometimes finds himself accidentally draped in animal skins after eating lanekill. Not an especially social creature, he is most often found affectionately consorting with the boulders or tree-stumps he has mistaken for kin (a factor that may explain the ogre's low rate of reproduction). However, once every generation or so, the ogre race is blessed with the birth of a two-headed Ogre Magi, who is immediately given the traditional name of Aggron Stonebreak, the name of the first and perhaps only wise ogre in their line's history.
With two heads, Ogre Magi finds it possible to function at a level most other creatures manage with one. And while the Ogre Magi will win no debates (even with itself), it is graced with a divine quality known as Dumb Luck—a propensity for serendipitous strokes of fortune which have allowed the ogre race to flourish in spite of enemies, harsh weather, and an inability to feed itself. It's as if the Goddess of Luck, filled with pity for the sadly inept species, has taken Ogre Magi under her wing. And who could blame her? Poor things.

[edit]Trivia
[edit]- "Ding Ding Ding M*****!!" refers to Ogre Magi's Immortal item
Auspice of the Whyrlegyge. At the game's final moments before the fountain's destruction, Ogre Magi of Alliance relied on Multicast to kill EG's last hero in the game, Batrider and turned the game in favor of them. LD, who was the caster of the game, was shouting out of his lungs and gave the game one of the most iconic voicelines. - In DotA, Ogre Magi's name is Aggron Stonebreaker. The surname has been shortened to Stonebreak in Dota 2.
- Warcraft 3 similarities:
- In DotA and Dota 2, Ogre Magi's appearance is based on the Ogre Magi, a two-headed ogre neutral creep.
- Fireblast is based on Firebolt, which is a single-target damaging stun, but with a projectile. Ogre Magi's version had its projectile speed set to 99999, effectively making it instant.
- Ignite's original iteration is based on Acid Bomb, with the armor reduction set to 0.
- In its original iteration, Ignite applied its effect in an area around the primary target, akin to Acid Bomb.
- The Ogre Frostmage neutral creep used the same model as well, which could lead to hilarious moments of mixups.
- A way to fool the enemy was to kill the neutral creep and then waiting there for enemies.
- This only worked during the nighttime, when the Ogre Bruisers in the camp are asleep.
