Hero Esports is an esports producer organization founded in 2016, and mainly operates around Asia Asia.

The organization rebranded in November 2024 and was previously known as Versus Programming Network (VSPO/VSPN).

History

Hero Esports has a 70% market share of premium esports events in China China [1], managing and producing esports events in various games and esports titles, starting with the King Pro League Fall 2016 (Arena of Valor) in September 2016, PUBG China Pro Invitational 2018 (PUBG) in May 2018 and the PUBG Mobile Star Challenge 2018 (PUBG Mobile) in November 2018.

Currently, Hero Esports has 14 global offices located in the cities of China Shanghai, China Chengdu, China Xi'an, China Shenzhen, China Beijing, South Korea Seoul, Malaysia Kuala Lumpur, Thailand Bangkok, and United Arab Emirates Dubai.

In February 2023, the organization rebranded from VSPN to VSPO due to IPO registration conflicts.[Inside Source]

In October 2024, Hero Esports (as VSPO at the time) announced their rebranding to Hero Esports and their CEO, Dino Ying would transition to Executive Chairman, and Danny Tang who was the CFO and one of the co-founders would take over as the new CEO[2].
