Shanghai Swamp
Shanghai Swamp recreates the lost wetlands of Shanghai. The living work pushes up from a formal lawn in the heart of Jing'an, an urban area that was once marshland. The plant species included (Zizania latifolia, Typha orientalis, Phragmites australis, Euryale ferox, Trapa natans, and others) have been recorded in the archaeobotanical record going back at least 8000 years.
