I could never really connect with how the popular depiction of a therian nowadays is like, a human with an animal mask? I’d rather just depict myself as an animal. If I wanted to get really symbolic I’d draw an animal in a human mask, but otherwise just an animal.

You can’t fake something unintentionally or unconsciously.

Faking an experience is done with full knowledge and conscious intent on your part of what you are doing.

If something is happening to you unintentionally, if you are doing something and unconsciously, you are having a legitimate experience of some kind.

If you’re faking something, you’re doing it deliberately. Faking something isn’t something that just happens to you. An experience is something that just happens to you.

tend not to post or reblog much on subject of race , as sometimes find hard to convey thoughts and perspectives - especially on tumblr where many users do not take criticisms well - and generally not in place of authority . but sure will say this one , after too many times this seem to come up .

race is not ignorable concept simply because nonhuman , not even if physically nonhuman . still inhabit position in society based on how others perceive and classify , whether or not understand or even want these classifications .

unfortunately , sometimes individuals who claim to not understand or care about these classifications actually do best work of uphold and continue harm . one can not unlearn what one fail to see .

as outsider to any particular group , might not always understand when members of that group point out problems . even members of group might not always agree with each other if something is big problem , little problem , or non-problem entirely .

but , regardless of position , all have responsibility to at least give best shot at listen , understand , and show respect for one another . would be wonderful to have world without these kinds of hurt and oppression , but world is simply not like that right now , and no one can unmake problems through blissful ignorance - still need to be able to understand .
