This company disgust me
This company disgust me. I rang orange English line to visit USA a year. The lady told me to buy three packs in advance. I got to the USA and had 172e charges in two days. I called and spoke to an Algerian whose French was too difficult to understand. I emailed the ceo directly and her assistant called me offering to correct the three packs by taking them off and refunding. I added the correct t pack at 49.99 but gave had no refund. Ten years a client and just ripped off.

INSURANCE SCAM
Unfortunately I could not give no stars. I took out accident insurance following the advice of orange staff, paying 12 euros per month. 18 months later I had a fall and accidentally dropped my phone..unfortunately it no longer worked, so I put in a claim. After waiting 9 days., they finally got back to me to say I wasn’t covered! I emailed them asking how can it not be covered as I have total accident cover. They haven’t even bothered to reply.

They Stole My Money
I have been a client of Orange Luxembourg for 4 years now; however, they have been keep stealing money under covered operations.
Outside the EU, I was charged hefty sums due to receiving telesecretary messages (not used for communication on purpose), and I was also not informed that this was the reason for their charge, learnt after years.
Then I started to turn on plane mode during my entire non-EU travels, and when I was back, I saw that they charged me again for no reason, and this time I did not even receive a telesecretary message. Whenever I requested evidence of a conversation, they could not provide anything except the invoice itself.
I also have their wifi box, and it never worked. I contacted their manager on LinkedIn to convince them to replace it, and it still does not work.
Now I left Orange for their competitor and am waiting for my wifi contract to end also. If you search Truspilot with the word "Orange", then you will see their ratings across the globe.
I am sad that my government and the consumers' rights of the EU do not protect us at all.
Cut of internet service out of the blue
I announced Orange December 30th that I'll be moving from my current address to a new one January 29th. Using the forms online, I picked a new cable internet for my new location and I specified the moving date as a start of new contract date as well as the cut of intenet date at the old location.
January 9th I woke up without cable internet.
During the next 24 hrs I called customer service 12 times, spoke with 9 different people for a total of over 10 hours, took two trips (100 km) to shops to change devices...to discover they've decided to cut my cable 3 weeks before the move - to prepare, one of them said; the last one said "it's your fault"...
I work from home, and mobile signal in my area is very poor. This cut of service means I am unable to earn my living.
"There's nothing we can do" they all said.
I've filed official customer complaints within 48 hrs. Still waiting. I had to double my expense by purchasing an internet solution from competition, in order to be able to work.
Service cut due probably to incompetence, same for customer service...and no corrective solution.
The good, the bad and the lazy
The tech arrived 45 minutes ago and after a hiccup (his network test device couldn't detect a signal), he got the the router running.
Then the fun began. He asked me to sign off on the installation and I told him I would after I confirmed my computer was connected to the Internet and and that I was indeed getting the network speed I was paying for (I use Ookla Speed Test for that). Then he got impatient, saying that his job ended when his hardware detected a signal. He added that SFR, my former ISP, does handle the entire installation but that Orange doesn't.
OK, so I connected my computer to the Orange router/modem and everything came up as expected, with fast upload and download speeds, over 900 Mbps download and 780+ Mbps upload, faster than what I was getting from SFR.
I ran after him saying I'd sign off on the installation but he ignored me and kept walking, like an alcoholic urgently needing a drink and heading off to the bar. Now that I'm on my own and found that the TV decoder box isn't responding, I have to go into debugging mode.
A bad first experience with Orange Telecom!

We agreed a new Fibre Broadband with Orange at the end of September with a date they gave us for the
5th December. We have made the trip over especially to have the Broadband fitted, the cost of which is in excess of £300 . We had no contact from them on the morning of the agreed date. The work was to start at 10.30. I contacted Orange on there English help line and was told the installation time was between 10.30 to 14.30. At 14.30 someone phoned the see if the engineers had arrived. No one had appeared and it was left like that. This morning Monday 8th I phoned the helpline ( what a JOKE) to be told they could not help and would contact me on Friday with a new date. As we are leaving on Wednesday 10th I told them to cancel the new contract for fibre broadband. I will be looking for another provider. I would have given the review no stars but that’s not possible.

Arrogant, rude, ignorant and impatient customer support
Just got off the phone with Orange.fr. I have been having terrible problems with the Internet speed. I am paying a lot of money every month to have fast fibre internet, but all I get on average is 15 mgbs! I cannot run my security cameras, TV, computer and mobile. I have been frequently driving 40 km to the shop in Saint Gaudens to get to speak to a human, who cannot help me anyway because they are there to make sales, not to deal with customer complaints. They have been kind enough to arrange a telephone call with client support. The first call never happened. The second, today, the customer support person was rude, impatient, and uninterested in helping. My level of French is B2, but I found it difficult to understand the person who was supposed to help me. She kept interrupting me all the time, speaking too fast and being in a hurry and frustrated. Not quite what a customer support person should be. She actually threatened me with hanging up on me. Well, there is nothing left but to change a supplier.

This operator is very slack as far as responding to clients problems, almost a month of no connection with our fibre optic cable, we have contacted them repeatedly, of course the usual rubbish of trying to blame the box etc which has been tested and is fine so today the technician is meant to come. No messages, no indication they will turn up , the usual appalling lack of respect for the client. Why not abuse them? What’s the problem Orange.fr? Don’t actually like your clients? Feel you have a monopoly, the most expensive operator on the French market and ex France Telecom too, hate capitalism? Why not surprise us and actually deliver on your after service and seriously do something about the problem instead of hiding from your responsibilities to your customers????
orange engineer stole my laptop and Ipad
I live in Paris and the orange engineer arrived unannounced. My neighbour who has a spare key let him in and he installed the fibre and left. 2 days later I went in the cupboard to get my personal laptop and Ipad out of my bag in the cupboard where the engineer was working. I noticed there was white dust like the kind that was on the floor as he never cleaned up his mess on the bottom of my bag, I then noticed it felt light, I opened it and everything was gone. I spent 4 hours in the police station reporting this. I reported it to orange and so far nothing not even an apology. now the internet has gone down after 1 week, they told me an engineer was coming out saturday, I stayed in all day, no one arrived. I ow have been told they are arriving wednesday. absolute shower of shite, if there was some else in Paris I would use them.

I applied for fibre but only time engineer did turn up he didn’t have a clue and left promptly.Since then despite numerous telephone calls engineers Dont turn up or appointment just cancelled .This has been going on over more than 2 months and the only thing they have done is to cut off my landline and internet .They assured me they had reconnected but somewhere in the street they connected the new number which won’t be connected to the house until the fibre is installed .They tell me they have 72 hours to reconnect the correct no but that 72 hours is moved back each day .Theyare totally useless and lie on the telephone to get rid of you.
Out of the Frying Pan and Into the Fire
Out of the Frying Pan and Into the Fire
Rating: 1/5 stars
I’m a journalist who switched from SFR to Orange, thinking I was making an improvement. I was wrong. This has been an absolute nightmare from start to finish.
No Internet for 6 Weeks
After charging me €100 to send a technician, it took them 6 weeks to get my home Internet working. Six weeks without Internet as a journalist is unacceptable.
Phone Debacle - €270 in Phantom Charges
Orange couldn’t organize selling me a new phone, so they sent me one I didn’t want. I returned it, but they added a €270 fee to my bill anyway. Then they told me they would deduct the fee and instructed me to wait 2 months before paying my next invoice.
Service Cut During Critical Work Assignment
Despite telling me to wait 2 months to pay, and despite promising they would leave my line open, Orange cut my service while I was handling a world premiere of a film in New York. As a journalist, being without phone service during a major professional assignment is catastrophic.
Impossible to Reach
• I’ve sent multiple messages to their press office - all ignored
• Their chat box is useless - responses come 3 hours later asking “do you need help?” when you can no longer reply
• You can’t call them because they’ve cut off your phone
Conclusion
Orange should not be in business. Their billing is chaotic, their customer service is non-existent, and their practices border on criminal. If you’re considering Orange France, learn from my mistake and choose literally anyone else.
Deeply disappointed with Orange’s service and professionalism
I chose Orange because they’re supposed to be the leaders in telecommunications — they literally own the phone and internet cables in France, so I expected quality and accountability.
Instead, it has been a complete nightmare. I’ve been trying to get my internet connected since the end of July — yes, several months — and still nothing works. Technicians either don’t show up, or when they do, they say they don’t have the right equipment and leave.
What’s worse is that Orange doesn’t even employ their own technicians anymore. Everything is outsourced to other companies, and depending on where you live, the experience completely changes. Here in the South of France, most of the technicians are freelancers, meaning they don’t seem to care about results — and because there’s a shortage of them, they know they’ll keep getting calls anyway.
Meanwhile, we’ve been paying for a line that has never worked since July. Customer service just repeats the same phrases — “Madame, that’s how it is” — as if that excuses everything.
It’s unbelievable that the biggest telecom company in Europe can deliver such a poor experience. How can a company that owns all the infrastructure provide such unreliable, careless service? It’s sad to see how little value is placed on responsibility, craftsmanship, or even basic respect for customers anymore.
I’m now filing an official complaint — but I wanted to share my experience here to warn others. If you’re looking for reliability, don’t expect it from Orange.
