TVL 65” TV - a dark experience

I bought a TVL 65” TV, good deal, and in the store the picture looked fine but when I got it home, it worked okay for a while and then started having issues where it would get super dark all of a sudden, pictures, menus etc. you could hard restart it all you wanted it would stay dark. Leave it over night, back to okay, for a while. It overall o should have spent $200 more and bought a Samsung.

TCL 50S5K-UK TV..Amazing picture & sound..

I bought this tv last week and OMG what a tv this is...
M
Me & my wifed moved into a park home and only had our 55" Toshiba tv so needed a tv for the main bedroom. After consultation with my wife she said to get a 32-43 inch tv, no larger.
So i went looking and after weighing up the tv's i'd seen decided the TCL 50S5K-UK was the one for me, i mean us..
The tv is so easy to set-up, it's as light as a feather and is by far the best tv we've ever had.
The picture is absolutely amazing, crisp, clear and makes literally everything look like your actually in the tv & on the pitch, court etc it's a Qled tv so it's as good as it gets.(depending on the sport) or on the set of a programme or film.
The sound is superb, i've read reviews regarding TCL tv's saying they sound "tinny"? Well they must've been watcing in a can because this tv's sound is perfect.
Finally, the price! Well i paid less than £250 for this...£250, really! That is absolutely nothing compared to other tv's, a S**Y 43" tv was £1,100 more, for what? The picture & sound on this tv is perfect, and there's money for a holiday abroad, yes right a Holiday..
Wow, looking at the reviews on here it seems i've bought the only TCL tv that is any good, however i would like to give some pointers.
Firstly the tv is an Android tv, Not a Google tv, hence why someone who's left a review is struggling with google.
Secondly If people were to google/use their internet browser they would see that the reason why you cannot get BBC iplayer isn't TCL's fault it actually states on the BBC iplayer page that only "some" older TCL tv's are able to get the iplayer app, the reason being the new TCL tv's as mine is, aren't able to get the app due to BBC updating the TCL tv's starting with the older models, BBC iplayer "will" be available when the BBC has caught up. So you really do need to get the facts before you slate a company in a review.
Oh! And as for adverts, i have absolutely no idea what those reviews are all about, i haven't seen one ad on the tv aside from the usual ones you get on "all" tv's, you know ITV etc, and as for ads anyway that's what youtube etc live off, get on and live with it..

Tcl 60 inch didn't last a yr

Tcl 60 inch didn't last a yr. As I write this it's in the trash. Went dark screen and never recorded. We had a onn that did the same thing. Customer service lacks in customer service. Makes you go threw all these steps, and tells me to hit reset button on tv that doesn't have one. Argued with me about. And hung up. Called again same thing. Do not waste your money who makes cheap products that doesn't last. And does not care about their customers.

Nothing but problems

Nothing but problems. From the time I bought it the TV keeps locking up, freezes. Called warranty service may times, spent about 10 hours on the phone and got nothing but the run around. They keep running me through the same checks. They just don’t want to honor their warranty. Four or five times a week I have to go into systems and do a systems reset to get it working. They just won’t honor their tvs. Will never buy another.

No redeeming factors

This is a review for the TCL 43P638K UHD Model. With my first foray into the Smart TV market, I did not wish to pay a huge price. After a bit of research, I decided to get this TV. It made some very lofty claims. This included 4k picture, Dolby Vision and Intelligent settings,to name just a few of the claims.

Once I received the tv,I thought it would be easy to set up! It wasn't. I had to get a friend, who was more conversant with these types of tvs. It took my friend over 45 minutes to set it up. He said the way the hdmi ports were positioned, it was very difficult to see which port was which.

There are a number of settings for the picture output. I went through all of these. I used the so called Smart HDR together with the movie sound setting. All of the other sound settings have little or no effect. Under the sound settings you will find, virtualizer, bass enhancer and dialogue enhancer. Having those settings on makes absolutely no difference to the sound!
As for the Intelligent settings, again having those set to "on",makes no difference to the picture or sound!

After several months I noticed that the screen would show only a dark hue, with what appeared to be "ghosting of the images ". It was like watching an old black and white TV set with a coaxial aerial. I decided to get in touch with their customer service. What a farce that was. The individual I spoke to sounded like they had just woken up and could not be bothered to help. Needless to say, there was no help whatsoever.

Is there any redeeming factors for this company and Tv? The answer is a resounding No!

It was all good for about a month. Now the screen is distorted for live and streaming videos. Sound quality still works, but that doesn't matter when you can't see what you're listening to. At least I still can get a full refund. I'm not beneath recommending others do it now while they can, or avoid the entire process by choosing something else.

15 months old and it's going in the bin!
TLC TV with Amazon Fire operating system, constantly forgets log in details meaning I have to log on every time I turn the TV on. When the TV does come on it's so slooooooooooow! TV guide is next to useless.
Save yourself loads of frustration and buy something else. This TV is just a joke.

Worst TV you could possibly buy within a few months. I had sound issues. I had to wait for a technician to come out which was next to Impossible because of their system and how they wanted me to send the videos. They couldn't hear it. They tried to get around it so that they didn't have to pay somebody to come and fix something that was internally broken couple years later. I'm still having issues with the TV. It's glitchy with all my channels and it's funny because I have another TV from a different brand and it works perfectly fine

I am extremely disappointed with my TCL…

I am extremely disappointed with my TCL television. It was an 85-inch TV that cost me over $1,200, and it lasted just one year and a few months before developing serious issues. The main problem was that there was no image, and when an image did appear, it would vanish within seconds. This made the TV completely unusable.
When I contacted TCL support, I was told that they would not repair the TV because the warranty had just ended. No assistance or goodwill support was offered. For a product of this size and price, this level of support is unacceptable.
A television—especially one this large and expensive—is not a short-term purchase. Customers should reasonably expect many years of use. This experience shows that TCL TVs are not built to last and that the company does not stand behind its products once the warranty expires.
Because of this experience, I will not recommend TCL TVs to anyone. I believe other customers deserve to know the truth before spending their money.
Buyers beware.

don't no where to start am not looking…

don't no where to start am not looking for sympathy nor right this to be nasty as thats not why I write reviews.

I served in armed forces for 8 years discharge due to having ptsd. Up until present date I took numerous efforts of taking me life. I applied for a war pension for injures sustained in forces which I got in August 2025 I never had money to buy new things due my health. After a payout of backdate of 5 years I found able to get some stuff I needed. Myself l, my partner and my step son was getting a new house and was looking for a TV for living room after searching around looking at reviews I saw a tv with Hughes I took out insurance out with the tv 75 inch which was £500 which after looking around it looked like a lovely tv and for money very much fantastic prices I chose a date for it to arrive but came early due to where my flat is very narrow steep steps I couldn't get it in flat I was living at. The building its self is very secure and intotal there is only 3 flats in whole building which all of the flats owners we all get on very much. So left tv below my stairs. After a month I came out I tv was missing u could not miss it with the size which the box tv came in. After digging about it definitely was stolen being vetrens we take pride and try not show emotional side its part what we where trained in. But inside me i was emotional wreck. Just week before I tried take my life. And for once in my life I was being something for me as hated buying for me but I felt like I let everyone down. I took insurance out and I asked my partner to deal with it as I didn't have the strength to deal with it if felt I let my honer down my family down and myself. So when my partner contacted the insurance with a police crime number down the insurance never included theft. Hughes then said contact the makes of tv TCL as we where told in certain circumstances they would kindly replace the tv which infact they sent us back to Hughes one kind women did try her best see if they could do a good will gesture with a replacement which no one ever came back. One person said was my fault as I never had content insurance whi h never heard of and with my poor mental never thought I should nor could I afford it. I was heart broken there was one good egg who tried help then rest really I could dug my own grave and die some things said where horrible. And I wasnt asking for a replacement I would happily came to an agreement with Hughes and paid monthly for it but in end no one seemed to care and they got the money paid in full i was the one belittled in end. I was really hoping Hughes could helped in some place by end i gave up fight I had no strength to go on they had won I done everything they asked me to do in end was waste of time.

In end tcl and hughes totally destroyed me completely

Disappointed with TCL TV

I am so disappointed with my new TCL TV. Most of the reviews that I read before buying were pretty good but not one of them mentioned that you cannot download BBCiplayer or any other UK TV websites, which I need to do as I cannot have an aerial. A complete waste of money.

TCL 65V6C-UK TV

This television has the most appalling Programme Guide imaginable!!
If you want to see what’s on now/later whilst watching something it randomly changes the channel as you scroll through the channels…it’s the worst design of any television I’ve owned.
If you’re only watching streaming television it’s ok as only affects tv through the aerial (freeview).
Yes, it was only £300 but it’s annoying as hell…I’d strongly advise against buying this television.
Contacted TCL customer services, fairly useless to be honest. I asked why they can’t do a system update, told it’s not possible. Serious design flaw!!
