Avoid. I was a returning customer but this time around was terrible. Order accepted Nov 14...not delivered until Dec 28 and then left on my porch in plain view so it ended up getting stolen. Contacted courier company and reported it to Understance. Basically, I'm out the money. Also, they have been bought out by a private equity firm. I would not have placed an order in the first place had I known that. Google "What's going on with Understance" and check the Reddit forum. /BuyCanadian. So, buyer beware.

I used their fitting suggestions and size calculator to find out what my actual size was and ordered several sale bras in that size. I was extremely impressed with the quality and support! They were beautiful as well.

I appreciate how transparent the company is with how each style fits. I learned a lot about different terms that I never knew before and now feel more confident in what I’m looking for when I’m shopping for bras in general.

I’m disappointed they don’t do shipping to the US anymore, but hope to visit one of their brick-and-mortar stores in Vancouver to stock up!

Metrotown store had a sign on the door advising to wait in line until a clerk let you in due to capacity control. (About five women in the store shopping.) Sign also advised they were not doing fittings, it is self service. (Two or three clerks sitting at the desk.) Also, limit of 5 items in a changing room, and when you finish trying on those items, pay for the ones you want and get back in line for a second round. Not impressed before walking in. But anxious to support a new Canadian company so waited a short time to enter.
Dozens of bras in various styles are displayed along the walls, so you can see which ones you want to try. Then you go to the drawers with your size, and search for the bra you want. There was one drawer with 34's (A to J/K). The drawers are in banks of 4 or 5, but only the top drawers had any stock (at least in my size and those around it.) I had the option of about four styles in my size.
The bras themselves seemed ok, nothing special, and did not fit me.
It should have been a great shopping experience, but lack of stock and service made it seem like shopping in a discount store. Certainly the worst service I have ever had at a lingerie store. Too bad; I certainly won't return.

Someone recommended this company to me. I was intrigued! I loved the size chart! Unfortunately only ONE of the four I ordered fits me and it’s not great. The other three, despite being the SAME bra don’t fit and look awful. The bands are tight, the bra cups gape and start at my shoulders. They’re awful. It was expensive, non-refundable and poor fitting! So dissatisfied.

I haven't bought bras in a number of years and generally only stuck to one that I liked. I am super impressed with the quality received from Understance. I bought 2 for a significant discount and one for full price. All were exceptional and most importantly, comfy. Order took approximately 1.5 weeks to receive.

I along with 4 ladies went to this store to buy a bra.
My salesperson was very attentive to my request and after my sizing she brought in several bras(6 I think) for me to try on.
She stayed with me during the procedure and exchanged bras for better fitting ones as was required.
I left after purchasing 4 well fitted bras.
As a happy customer I will return and also advertise for them.

Never again. Band sizing is wrong on the bras altogether. I fit a 38 in many brands including Wonderbra and this felt more like a 34. I also bought panties that, as it turned out, have no elastic at the waist. I never tried them on since no elastic automatically means they’ll slip down consistently. Out of $100 spent, I got $75 when returned, and the return took more than 10 days and an email after they received the returned goods to process.

Before Understance, I thought my bra size was a 38B. How wrong I was! I used their bra calculator to find out they recommended 36DD for me. The bras are so comfortable - my personal favourite is Peek Proof Plunge - and make me forget im wearing a bra. I’ve been wearing the wrong size and cheap bras my entire life and I’ll never go back. I’ve since been to the store on Robson St where I had a fitting and they were very helpful in-store too.

Shopping in this store was truly an incredible experience! The way the lingerie was organized made it so effortless to get what you needed. They truly do have beautiful and comfy bras and undies. Highly recommended. And a special shoutout to Chelsea for being so kind and helpful with the fitting and recommendations. 5/5 service and such nice and lovely people.

My bra was 4 months old. I went to put it on and couldn’t hook it,When I took it off I found that a whole section of the bra (the whole hook part) was gone. When I contacted them they gave me some song and dance but long story short would not send another. Offered 20 per cent off next purchase which I did not accept. Will never order again from this company.

I had an absolutely awful experience with Understance because I never received my package and they are taking no responsibility for that as the merchant/shipper.

It took weeks for them to get back to me after "investigating" with the shipper only to be told that it WAS delivered (it absolutely was not) and that I had to take it up with THE POLICE. I live in a large metropolitan city where the police department will certainly not be taking up my case for a lost package worth less than $100.

As the customer, I am left having wasted my money on an order I never received. It's especially shocking in the current climate where upstart small businesses rely on the positive feedback and reviews from customers. Understance seems to have forgotten that the customer is always right and would rather have negative reviews than re-send me my order and take a loss themselves. Shame on them.

I bought 3 bras from this store on December 16, 2025.
This was my first time there. I wanted to go to a physical store.
Both ladies: Rajvi and Wendy were very helpful and nice. They helped me figure out what types of bras I need, and took my measurements.
Thank you.

Shipped me an empty box. Took dozens of emails and effort to get a refund and I ended up having to file a chargeback with my CC. Did I mention this was all over a $30 bra? Not worth the time or effort this took. Awful customer service

I've had nothing but bad experience with this company.
Did there quiz for size ordered 4 diff bras to try. Hoping at least one would be good.
Nothing fit!
I got the box, tried them on, put them back in the box and returned.
It's been a month and I'm still trying to get my refund of $250.
DO NOT BUY FROM THEM UNLESS YOU ARE SOMEHOW SURE THE BRAS WILL WORK OUT.
I'm still emailing Sylvia and getting the same run around about how busy they are....bullshot! I want my money back!!!!

Love this company! They’re all about women’s empowerment and they don’t airbrush their models and the “models” are regular women! And the bras fit like a glove! Love them , their company and their bras! I shared my experience and now two people I know have made orders!

I bought two Zoe, the suggestion for no pinching on side under arm. BOTH pinch. Did not bother with return as I read unhappy reviews from those that returned items. Also, notice that the bras lack much control on the side to back gusset (?) Possible name of parts. Anyway, once I arrive home I take it off as soon as I can.,

These beautiful,well constructed bras received today were a wonderful surprise.I had no idea what to expect.When the warehouse sale popped up I thought I'd grab a few and if they didn't work out,well,so be it as the sale was spectacular.
What an amazing surprise to find bras that were beautiful and well fitting.. actually really well fitting and comfy.In fairness I've just cracked the box and fitted.I haven't washed or worn for an extended period but what i see and feel so far is very impressive.Im a 36DD .If ur the same then absolutely go ahead and buy.Its a safe blind buy and the design is real quality.Excellent work Understance.

I wish I would have read the reviews before buying. What a waist of funds! And returning items were NOT easy. Nor getting a refund. It has been 3 weeks and I still do not have my refund. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY!

Sizing chart online was VERY thorough! I ordered 4 bras! As a 32H I struggle to find the right fit & this company had made it easy!

Will definitely reorder! I loved the fit and style of 3/4 bras. I would have kept the 4th but the band was a little tight.

Horrible customer service. DOUBLE billed me. Refused to deal with it despite sending them photographic proof of double billing. Stealing my money!!
