Hello! We're the Lyra system (they/them), a fictive-heavy DID system from the US. You can find more details on our Neocities (last updated January 11, 2026).

Some posts may not be in English, so please ask or Google for translations if needed. We love questions and don't mind answering most things!

We don't have a specific DNI, but if you're an asshole, we'll block you. Invalidating others based on system origin or any other such label is asshole behavior. If you're not sure whether that means you, it probably does. Also, please don't ask us for donations - we feel for your situation, but we are not in a financial position to help and will block you for the sake of our own mental health.

Harder to get us not to write a plural character tbh, as for plural readings of characters, we interpret Siffrin from ISAT and Kris Dreemurr from Deltarune as plural

Daily plural question: What level of communication do you have with your headmates / how do you communicate with them?

Examples sent in by the suggester: Speaking outwardly (where it looks like you're talking to yourself), speaking internally, communicating through emotions/vibes, communicating through writing/apps/etc, no/little communication

#we mostly communicate internally in “headspace-ese” which is a mix of words images emotions vibes and so on#sometimes whoever is in front will speak out loud though to externalize their side of the conversation#because doing that lets us focus better on processing and translating the responses instead of also having to do the input#(front is worse at intuitively processing headspace-ese by default. requires translation into fully conscious thought = words & vice versa)#📝 Sonia

All you have to do for each response is tell us the name of your source! No extra information needed. From these results, I will be examining:

  • What sources seem to be the most represented in the community?
  • What type of media seems to be the most prevalent in the community? (live action, video games, animation, film, television, etc.)
  • Does a certain media's popularity correspond to the amount of fictionfolk who have it as a source?

The survey will end 2/15/2026, and results will be posted on @fictionfolklore. (though the survey may be extended based on the amount of data collected) After the survey ends, I will try my best to get the results out in a timely manner (i anticipate a large range of data to look through, however).

boys will say they "know a spot" and then take you to the Serpent Caverns where all the lamias have a grab attack that stuns you while they put you in a cute dress and forcefem you. and she'll tell you she "comes here often to be myself" and it's like girl. gender change potions are 1 silver. there has to be a better way.

Don't focus so hard on over-labeling things, and don't worry about being plural the "wrong" way, just let things happen and let everyone feel safe in the front, don't be afraid to talk to each other, being in a system is its own kind of relationship and step one of any relationship is communication

🌸 - too many events t'list, really, but in terms of media... Marvel is our biggest source media, an' a bunch of stuff on our plural rep list was influential to us too, like Arcane an' The One Within The Villainess. plus, we wouldn't have figured out our plurality without our host first figuring out her gender.

🍁 - a lot of times it's overnight or we don't notice, but when we do it intentionally, it's like stepping away from reality an' into the astral plane. the front is a vacuum that wants t'be filled, an' it pulls us back in unless we fight it, until someone else snaps into place instead.
