can non natives stop acting surprised and performatively jokey "uhh what lol!" about ice going after native americans. theyve been doing this for years and it ramped up last year and i had to hear all the stupid "uhhhh where will u deport them to 😜 silly republicans!" comments as if its not always been about detaining torturing murdering using as slave labor scattering communities through fear and intimidation etc. be an adult and act with maturity please. its not quirky or confusing its directly in line with americas racism and white supremacy to make sure native americans are eradicated

Something that literally happened in my household this morning, but with Michael and Sam;

Sam: *slips while he's walking downstairs but catches himself*

Michael: *in front of Sam* Did you just almost fall down the stairs?

Sam: Yeah! Bet you're not worried about me though are ya! More worried about me falling into you!

Michael: Well I'd soften your fall wouldn't I and bet the brunt of it!

Grandpa: *laughing his ass off*

Hahaha 😂

Apparently I am making up for days off by writing lots of words. Go month!

This means going to the library on every day and not just the days I usually go, but hey, that's awesome, that means that I finally get words in. Also, my cat is pleased because there is cat food!

Did about ten minutes more of Lost Boys nitpicking, so now I've gotten up to Michael having just arrived in the cave. So here is the list I have so far of what is in the cave:

  • pigeons
  • christmas lights (not working?)
  • anatomical human skeleton model
  • Craftsman tool chest (why?)
  • Jim Morrison
  • fountain with the chandelier fallen in
  • metal barrels with fire
  • suncatchers with starfish
  • an awful lot of surfboards for vampires

Of course, later we know why there are so many surfboards, but I can just see Michael looking around, thinking "This is on a fault line that ate a hotel in 1906", and then sort of thinking "Oh, that's odd, they must really like surfing."

Poor dumb Michael. We love his squishy little head.

Also one of the things that I notice in my notes is the image above - the brothers are so incredibly close before Santa Carla happens to them. Forged by their parents divorce maybe, or maybe they've just always been close. But they are very touchy (sometimes in brother attacking each other kind of ways), and look at when they laugh over something stupid, they do the head knock thing.

I think that's part of why Sammy tries so hard to get Michael "back". He loses his brother to the vampires.

“This is a tapestry I made myself! I just finished it!”

“…. this is…. big.”

“Eighty feet long, ten high, in forty panels! It was originally going to be sixty feet, but then the Thomas Malory Arthuriana got big and I had to put more stuff in.”

“… Malory published in the fifteenth century.”

“Do you have any idea how long it takes one person to embroider eight thousand square feet of tapestry?”

“You’ve had a lot of free time in the last eight hundred years, haven’t you?”

“Not once I took up embroidery as a hobby, no!”

“Want to see my stalagmite cultivation work?”
