Apparently I am making up for days off by writing lots of words. Go month!
This means going to the library on every day and not just the days I usually go, but hey, that's awesome, that means that I finally get words in. Also, my cat is pleased because there is cat food!
Did about ten minutes more of Lost Boys nitpicking, so now I've gotten up to Michael having just arrived in the cave. So here is the list I have so far of what is in the cave:
- pigeons
- christmas lights (not working?)
- anatomical human skeleton model
- Craftsman tool chest (why?)
- Jim Morrison
- fountain with the chandelier fallen in
- metal barrels with fire
- suncatchers with starfish
- an awful lot of surfboards for vampires
Of course, later we know why there are so many surfboards, but I can just see Michael looking around, thinking "This is on a fault line that ate a hotel in 1906", and then sort of thinking "Oh, that's odd, they must really like surfing."
Poor dumb Michael. We love his squishy little head.
Also one of the things that I notice in my notes is the image above - the brothers are so incredibly close before Santa Carla happens to them. Forged by their parents divorce maybe, or maybe they've just always been close. But they are very touchy (sometimes in brother attacking each other kind of ways), and look at when they laugh over something stupid, they do the head knock thing.
I think that's part of why Sammy tries so hard to get Michael "back". He loses his brother to the vampires.
