Registration windows! Things were cheaper back then because less ways to make money, too. First notn was wild.

i joined in late 2014 and i remember the wolf cape apparel being super hard to find because it had just been released and everyone was after it lmao

also RIP 1:400 gem ratio :(

I remember the introduction of micro-holidays and Ancients!! I also remember when the Dressing Room was introduced, wow that was a long time ago. The Celebration Sage set was exclusive to that 4th anniversary, and I didn't do Baldwin so I only got one set. But I still have it! Phoenix is wearing it right now :)

ahh yes let's see....i joined the first year of fr so lots of interesting tidbits:
first fests were hella laggy/site was laggy in general
crossroads only let you send things to players, no trading option which was oof :")
irishim was all the rage
you got your AH purchases through a pm
the trading post was just the map in the background
no game database or dressing room
no special eyes, only normal elementals

i can't not mention registration windows like the rest of everybody - i remember joining right after the starfall celebration that year, which i was a bit disappointed in because i'd just joined the arcane flight and missed out on my own festival, haha. i do vaguely remember a kind user welcoming me with some of the festival items, however. ;;

i also remember how popular iri/shim/circuit as a gene combo was? especially with some combination of pink / blue / yellow range-colors.

lastly, i remember the first NoTN with the bear familiar craze lol. i hope i'm remembering right that chests used to be super common, but more often than not, they would just contain a swipp trade material rather than a familiar or other specialty item. :')
