Unprofessional, untrustworthy
Package requiring signature stuffed half into my letterbox and signed for by the delivery person.
I contacted customer care to make them aware of this, hoping for an explanation or an apology… I was simply passed from pilar to post and got neither on my first attempts.
Eventually I was told that it was the mistake of the company that sent the package for doing it wrong, despite DHL express messaging me during the shipping process to make sure I was home to sign for the package. There was no accountability or apology. A complete lack of empathy and blame shifted away from themselves

Allow me to preview this by saying that the abominable state of affairs of this company cannot be attributed to the delivery drivers themselves. DHL has decided to set up their company, hiring employees as supposed independent contractors as to save the higher-ups money and increase their yearly bonus, while giving delivery drivers impossible time frames to work with. This forces delivery drivers to cut corners, resulting in us, the consumer, ending up with deplorabele service (as in my case, a package not delivered to a service point that I selected but instead one with unusable opening hours way out of my range). Then because support is overwhelmed with negative interactions, the quality of communication there deteriorates as well. Although as someone who has had that job you should be ashamed for seemingly not even trying to train your support staff in the art of taking accountability, expectation management and proper communication. Multiple conversations, all equally useless. Again, all things that aren't the fault of any one individual, but a systemic problem that speaks to DHL as a whole. And thus I can only conclude that where possible I will make sure no one engages with or makes use of DHL for amy sort of required service, ever again.
Lazy and unreliable
Once again, DHL Express has delivered a message that it was unable to deliver the parcel, which has now been taken to a collection point. Incredibly annoying because this happens every single time I have a DHL Express delivery. I have given 2 stars because last time, when I called customer service, the person I spoke with was very understanding and scheduled another delivery attempt. She also confirmed, by checking the driver GPS, that the driver had made no delivery attempt. Last time I just went and collected the parcel because the time before that, when a 'second' delivery attempt was scheduled, it just was not honoured. It makes no sense as DHL ordinary delivery can manage to bring my parcels every time, without problem. Go figure.
Quite the horrible customer service
Quite the horrible customer service. Paying a lot of money for the express option, only for the package to get delayed after a whole day of waiting on Saturday. Thought it’s whatever and just accepted the delay.
Then on Monday the driver shows up 2 hours before the on the website picked delivery time. customer service states chosen delivery time is just a preference and doesn’t mean a guarantee.

i have never experienced such incompetence in all my life! 2 days wasted waiting in for a collection and the lies told that they had called when they had not as i had been in all day! (05/07/24 )
when i called and insisted they come back and collect my item on the same day, both days ( second day 8/7/24 ) i was told the driver had finished!!!!! it was only 4.30pm and 5pm respectively on both days.
i am furious!! when i had spoken with this person (sihosihoe ) said she would call back, she never did and the second time i called 2 hours later ( spoke to same person as before ) i gave veiled threat of complaint she called me back half hour later and said he could pick up tomorrow! as you can imagine i was NOT happy.
how is it possible for a company of this size and experience to be sooooooo BAD!
Judging by all the reviews here i am not alone, how on earth is this company still running. absolute disgraceful service. not only wasted 2 days but wasting time having to make calls as well! and adding insult to injury it was a premium phone number to boot!!!!

I gave 1 star because that is the minimum allowed. DHL Express said that they tried to deliver it on Monday and Tuesday two weeks ago and nobody was home. This is a complete lie. There is always someone here during the day. Nobody rang the bell, nobody left a notice of a delivery attempt in the postbox....nothing. So after 2 fake attempts to deliver, the package sat in Ulm "on hold" and nobody made any attempt to contact me....for 8 days. I finally discovered that it wasn't DHL trying to deliver the package, but DHL Express. DHL Express said that they couldn't find the house, and then said that nobody was home...inconsistent lies at best. The person that finally delivered the package was in a private vehicle and wearing street clothes. Nothing at all to identify them as being a DHL employee. Worst delivery experience ever, without a doubt.

Imagine my shock when I arrive home to find sat on my doorstep a pair of Sonos headphones value £450.00 sitting in full view of anyone who may have wanted to steal them. I was out, no attempt to leave with a neighbour or take back to warehouse and leave a note. Having also checked the online tracking, it was noted that the driver was sat 1 stop away from my delivery for over an hour before making my stop. Get a grip DHL, shocking service 🤬

This is the worst service specially in Germany. I got a parcel from india and i didn’t know that i have to pay tax .The amount was 19 euro something and i wanted pay by card and delivery guy told me that i can’t pay by card . And he took the parcel back with him . I also told him to give me a picking point where i can pick my parcel and he gave me a location 56 km away from my home

Please, if you are awaiting an important delivery for a certain date do not use DHL nor use a company that employs them. I can only write an honest review by giving them one star which is way too generous. Lets be honest their drivers can not be bothered to deliver your parcels and take them back to the depot.

I know that DHL take good care of their business customers. But as an individual it's a nightmare. I am paying extra for express service to ensure that my package is delivered next day. I went to 2 service points before around 16.45 and 16.58 at both locations they told me that they do t know if the DHL will pick up the package today or not. So to find a location where they would be sure (or even bring the parcel to the sorting center) I called the DHL Express customer service. Turns out now you need to pay. 0.80 eur per minute. The robo lady on the phone tells you that you will be served within 2 minutes - Thats a long waiting time for a paid number, but ok - I could suck it up. But I ended up waiting for 20 minutes to speak to someone and on top of that they refused to help me, they said that someone will call back within 15 min and I have been now waiting for 15 min.
What kind of joke is this? And since when DHL is in business of making money from phone calls? Cause I believe you don't pay your call center employees 45 EUR per hour.
No cumplen con los envíos a domicilio
Descarados, tengo la ventana de mi oficina sobre la entrada a la finca y con vistas a la calle en la que dejan los repartidores los vehículos para hacer los repartos, resulta que no aparecen en todo el día y luego me llega un mensaje diciendo que no estaba en casa y que lo dejan en otro sitio, habiendo además portero físico en la finca que puede recepcionar el envío o indicar dónde tienen que entregarlo. Pagando un sobre coste por la entrega en el domicilio, es increible.
Pero no acaba aquí, que llamas para pedir explicaciones y les da igual, que tengo que ir yo a recoger el paquete, vamos que he pagado para hacer yo su trabajo. DHL menuda decepción.
Shameless, I have my office window overlooking the entrance to the property and overlooking the street where the delivery drivers leave their vehicles to make deliveries, it turns out that they don't appear all day and then I get a message saying no. It was at home and they left it somewhere else, there also being a physical doorman on the property who can receive the shipment or indicate where they have to deliver it. Paying an extra cost for home delivery is incredible.
But it doesn't end here, you call to ask for explanations and they don't care, I have to go pick up the package, come on, I paid to do their job. DHL what a disappointment.

I have sent documents in size 1 envelope weighing less than 500 grams from UK to India. I have been billed additionally rupees5458 for customs clearance, storage charges and conversion rate of 1 GBP to INR= 107.35 as of 14/April/2024. The rate is not this high.
Customs charges are only INR 1879 and you can do the rest caclulations that DHL is pocketing themselves.
Charges includes, Surcharges, Fees and warehouse storage costs for 1 day.
This means the DHL team can physically verify the Size 1 envelope and take photographs as evidence but because they want to pocket as much money as possible.
I will never use this service again.
Totally waste of time and money.
