Bought the Sunningale Electric Fire, which is Dimplex's premium fire. Lovely fire, very realistic flame & crackling sound (both can be altered to suit), but we're extremely disappointed that they do... See more

We got a Dimplex boiler DHW 300lt with heat exchange pump 7 years ago, it cost CHF 3060 and broke totally (leakages from welded joints)... warranty 2 years, no way to repair it. I would not recommend any of their products and for sure not that company

No, I was extremely impressed with the service I received from GDHV Support when connecting my help with my Dimplex quantum 150 RF storage heater. There was no wait time to take the call and the service was extremely friendly and patient and professional. I'm a very happy customer

I bought a Dimplex coal effect fireplace. It started to give trouble very early on by switching off the blow heater. We took it out of the room so that we could lite real fires and didn’t bring it back into the room for over a year. It turned off again and despite getting in contact with Dimplex they will only send out an engineer at my expense and then pay for new parts. The customer service lady was downright rude and the emails she sent were full of grammatical errors and her spelling left a lot to be desired. If the customer service standard is so poor it’s no wonder their product is less than satisfactory.

I've had Dimplex electric fires for many years, and always been very pleased with the products and the after-sales service.
My Optimyst fire has had a switch problem, and Dimplex sent an engineer to fix it promptly. The customer service staff and the local engineer were very helpful and genuinely concerned. My lovely, realistic-looking fire is now working perfectly again!
Thank you, Dimplex.

Two DIMPLEX QUANTUM QM100RF and one QM050RF storage heaters were installed on 11 March 2025. They replaced three previous heaters, installed over 30 years ago.
The difference is as you would expect, night and day, not least the digital controls giving much more flexibility over their use.
I spoke with Mark from their customer support team this morning, regarding some programming advice and he could not have been more helpful. What initially looked like a myriad of menus and sub menus, was easily navigated to give me the results that suit very well.
Five stars due to Mark, he is a credit to Dimplex.

Very poor experience, we were very excited to purchase an Optimyst electric fire. The product arrived in December and did initially work, however the second time we used it the mist no longer worked, after a long phone call to customer services they sent out a part for us to fit ourselves which did not work. Whilst fitting the incorrect part it became obvious to myself that the fan wasn’t working (a quick google search showed that this was a very common fault on these). We called Dimplex customer services again and they insisted the motherboard was faulty and sent an engineer out to fit it and we were not surprised to learn that this did not fix the issue either, the engineer agreed the fan was not working. Having had to chase Dimplex they decided to replace the whole fire but didn’t have the same one in stock so have now sent us a cheaper fire that doesn’t look as good. The customer service team and very robotic and uncaring - this took over 4 months and resulted in a disappointing outcome where we were left without an operational fire for a very long duration having paid out good money for what we believed was a quality product, I hope this new fire is better than the last one.

I wouldn't recommend dimplex. Both the water heater and the radiator have the error message several times a day. It's very annoying and a big problem in the making.
The guarantee has just expired unfortunately.

The Dimplex Sunningdale is currently the best alternative to a real flame and when the lights are dimmed and night it looks really close to the real thing
Unfortunately the stove became faulty after just 5 months and I was thinking it was going to be a massive issue to fix the issue
I called the warranty team and spoke with Nadège Nsabimana who was incredible and booked the parts within a few days, the day after my call the technician called me to book in the job.
Can’t wait to have our fire working again
Probably the worst types of heaters they make. The system should be easy for the users to use. Why only timed frame. I should be like I turn it on when I want and turn it off when I want. The whole timing system is soo shit. I absolutely hate the setting, it's soo confusing. Avoid these poor radiator.
Loved the idea of Optimyst bought a fire for sitting room. Now two years no smoke replaced the transducer worked for about a week not working. Dimplex have terrible after sales service no telephone support etc.
Not usually one to leave reviews, but I had to for Reuben from the team at Dimplex. He was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and open to answering any questions I had. He came to fit a new unit and was professional, well-mannered, and highly knowledgeable. His technical expertise was impressive, and he explained everything clearly. A fantastic experience! Would definitely recommend.
Avoid at all costs, bought a 3kw radiator, just caught it before it started a fire, plug mented, socket melted, but the worst customer services didn’t give a monkeys even though I have cancer, awful
The course consisted of going through all aspects of the quantum hhr storage heater from correct assembly procedures to setting up the heater correctly and to
find out what the fault finding codes meant if they came up on the heater. Our trainer Ian Cambell was very experienced in these matters and went through each part of the course methodically and professionally he interacted well with my electricians and at the end of the course everybody had a good understanding of how the quantum works and is assembled. We asked Ian various questions at the end of the course and he answered everything simply and clearly for my men.
We were also left fault finding information from Ian which will come in useful for the future if required.
We would highly recommend this course to any electricians who are starting out to install Quantum storage heaters.
Ian gave a fantastic presentation to my inspectors, the content was very easy to understand. Ian took his time to explain in detail what the inspectors should be looking for and answered multiple question.
We recently had the pleasure of hosting a training session provided by Dimplex, and we couldn’t be more satisfied with the experience. From start to finish, the session was engaging, informative, and relaxed—exactly what we needed to build our confidence in the spare parts we distribute on their behalf.
The trainer, Luke, was not only knowledgeable but also confident and approachable, which made the entire learning process enjoyable. The session was structured in a way that encouraged interaction and active participation, with short quiz questions through the app Kahoot! adding a fun, competitive element that kept us all engaged. It was a great way to reinforce key concepts and ensure everyone was keeping up.
One of the highlights of the session was that Luke had brought in one of the storage heaters and took it apart, showing us exactly how all the parts fit together and explaining what each one does. This hands-on demonstration was incredibly valuable, as it gave us a deeper understanding of the product and how the components work in real-world applications.
As a team that distributes spare parts for appliances, this training session has significantly improved our understanding of how the Quantum storage heaters operate. We now feel much more confident when assisting customers, enabling us to help them find the right parts for their needs.
Overall, we are very grateful for this training session. It was an excellent opportunity to gain deeper insights into the parts we distribute and build stronger relationships with both Dimplex and our customers.
We are already looking forward to our next training session in March!
We had 2 on site courses at our premises to gain better insight into the quantum storage heating system- installation, maintenance & fault finding.
Our trainer was Ian Campbell,
It was a very in depth course and used an interactive game/questionnaire which made it a lot of fun and kept our employee's engaged. (always good when there's prizes up for grabs!)
Ian kept it interesting and was very good at giving an insight to these products and installations from a practical point of view because he physically worked on installs and maintenance, which was very beneficial to ensure we are installing and troubleshooting correctly rather than just reading from a book.
We have a lot of older systems within our properties, this course has allowed us to ensure we can diagnose problems that have arisen due to poor install's etc. which we may have missed previously.
We have also been left with an info pack which we can use for further information or to refresh later down the line.
If you were solely looking on information on old storage heating systems, this course wouldn't be for you, however if your looking to upgrade, repair a newer system. Its very useful.
Opymist fires - unique flame effect but flawed design - DONT BY ONE
Bought the first one in 2013 soon after they were launched.
Over an eleven year period parts failed repeatedly. Two printed circuit boards failed but I was able to strip the fire and replace them. The water mist which creates the unique flame effect is heated by four halogen bulbs and the heat from these causes the orange plastic diffuser to crack and fall apart.
I started reporting this to Dimplex technical in Southampton in 2014 but no response.
With the printed circuit failing again at the start of winter 2024 and the orange plastic diffuser cracking, I decided to buy the latest model with improved log bed. WHY YOU MIGHT ASK. Because the flame effect is unique and so realistic.
After three months use the orange plastic diffuser had cracked already!
I have returned it to Dimplex asking for a full refund as the product design is flawed and not of merchantable quality. They have refunded me but what a pity they could not improve the design.
Can I say - a typical British manufacturer - like the ones who produced cars until the 1979’s when the poor design and quality saw the end of the industry
We purchased a Brazilia F8S gas wall heater in May 2024 it wasn’t used until late September 24 and within a couple of weeks it became very difficult to ignite , sometimes requiring 15 strikes. By the end of November it stopped working altogether, there was no spark or gas being delivered .
It had a 12 month warranty and we rang Glenn Dimplex service on Dec 6th, it wasn’t easy getting through and the ladies English was quite poor , after a few days we received an email from Glenn Dimplex telling us parts were out of stock and the earliest repair would be in 6weeks on Jan13th 2025 , leaving us without a heater during the coldest months , alas no one turned up and they never did and neither did they bother to keep us updated, eventually I contact our supplier Wolseley and have secured a refund on the heater but not my fitting or disconnection costs. I read online that igniting these poor quality heaters is a problem for others too, as for the warranty and after sales service it’s pathetic
Storage heater wasn't working right in the house. Parts of the radiator was cold. When submitting the report all they seemed to respond was the report showed it was working correctly. This went on for 2 months while the house was freezing cold. They have not sent anyone out to check. Even though the radiators are the correct this choice for the room size according to their online guide. Less than 2 years old and covered under warranty but did not want to resolve the issue as the report showed it working properly. These did work at the beginning but they are not interested in attending or resolving.
Ordered a BACH wall mounted electric fire from AMAZON [Mod; BCH20E]. The remote is completely dead; checked battery, was 3.3v so is fine. Put in new battery- no difference. Fire's log display is excellent, but can get no heat. Went to Glen Dimplex's support pages- input all my details. Then get an e mail with link in to progress ticket. Clicking on that takes you to another page to complete; none of what you've just filled in is carried forward :( Few minutes later Support say they don't assist with this product range, and to send details [3rd time], to another e mail address. 4 days and waiting for a solution ie new remote. At this rate I'll have to dismount fire & return. Still no contact-returned.
