Excellent laptop

I am very happy with the laptop I ordered from PC Specialist. Even though I had to wait a bit for the production and delivery, this really paid off. I chose a top configuration based on the available parts and the laptop runs smoothly, with no issues. Excellent value for money.

Très content de mon achat

Very pleasant customer experience!
Professional follow-up throughout the different assembly phases. And it’s really nice to receive a link to a 3D image of your PC! The support team was very responsive to my questions.

I’m genuinely very happy with the quality of the assembly and build.

However, the packaging is quite light, especially compared to other providers like Cybertek or Memory PC who offer double-boxing, more foam, etc. On top of that, the box arrived quite damaged (thanks UPS)… Honestly, I’m happy (lucky?) that there was no damage to the case.
This is really the only downside. Everything else is top-notch.

Get yourself an ASUS, DELL,... instead

This is by far the worst experience I ever had with a laptop.
I have the laptop for 3 years now and here is my experience so far:

After a few months the laptop was suddenly very slow, it reached only 5-10 fps in games. I contacted support, they would help me but when I didn't get a reply for 2 (working) days I went ahead and tried to fix it myself. Later I heard from them that they could only help via an old school telephone call, as I work outside of Europe this was not possible, I proposed Whatsapp or Discord to contact me but nothing else was an option for the pc specialists. I eventually found the solution myself on the forums on their website. The BIOS had to be flashed. I found out that this was not without any risks so after some time with a laptop in limp mode I send it back as soon as i was in Europe again. The screen also started showing white clouds whenever there was a dark background. I mentioned this in the RMA as a second problem but that was just ignored. So, after 2 weeks of using my old trustworthy ASUS ROG laptop the BIOS was flashed and I could start spending hours installing everything again.

Few months later the cloudy screen only got worse so I made the RMA to send the laptop back to replace the screen. Another 2 weeks with my good old ASUS went by.
After some time the clouds came back on the replaced screen, at that point I just accepted it.

About a year later - not long before the end of the warranty - the PC started making a high pitch noise when running programs or games. This was extremely annoying so i went ahead and made an RMA for the 3rd time. It was the 13th of October '23 when the laptop was picked up. Finally after a lot of radio silence and ignored attempts to contact PC Specialist I got a reply from them on the 20th of NOVEMBER! ...They could not hear the noise... The tests they did should have literally taken 5 minutes. I started thinking what could have been different. Turned out the noise was only present when something was plugged in the USB port, and I always had my mouse dongle plugged in. They eventually replaced the motherboard and after almost 2 months with my sturdy 8 year old ASUS ROG I finally i received the laptop back... and how....
They send the laptop back without any drivers installed, only windows. They claimed in their fault report that the laptop was stress tested but how could that ever passed the test without the Nvidia or AMD drivers installed...
I went ahead and did the job myself, I got everything working again except for the Bluetooth. I tried multiple devices. There I went and contacted them, spend an hour or 2 on the phone watching the specialist try the exact same steps I tried myself. He could not help me so I would receive a phone call from his coworker... I never received that call and at that point I was completely fed up with PC Specialist.

Few months later the laptop went in limp mode again overnight. Again 5-10fps in games only. I tried a factory reset, spend hours and hours reinstalling everything again without any luck. So I went ahead and successfully learned how to flash the BIOS myself. (It takes 5 minutes once you know how and there is no reason to spend hours reinstalling everything again.) I have been using an AUX cable for almost a year now as I have never been able to repair the Bluetooth, I tried every single solution I could find online.

The 2000EUR laptop is now 3 years old, the parts from good brands like AMD or Nvidia still work like a charm, but the Chinese housing and screen are disappointing. the replaced and again cloudy screen was badly glued as it comes loose, the speaker is very quiet, I could even scratch off the PC Specialist logo with my fingernail, the screen often doesn't turn on after powering up unless you hold the power button 10 seconds and restart again, WIFI is faster and has a much greater range on my phone...
My 8 year old ASUS is in better physical condition at this point.

Do whatever you want but I will gladly spend a touch more and get a decent ROG or Alienware.

Update: They did reach out to me, it proves that they care so I added a star for this reason.

NEVER AGAIN!

It is last time I ever buy from PCSpecialist. I spent over 21000 euro in various buys from this company from both personal and work account. This is where I stop. PCSpecialist gave me a very bad customer experience and proved me it is no longer a good and trusted partner for me. I ordered a €6,798.35 computer on 18.06.2024 order 2835764 - paid quick and provided proof paid the extra delivery within 2 days to Belgium, and the express shipping (114euro).

Im gonna make it short. I called too many times PCS customer support to ask about the delayed delivery, expressing my concern for the fact that the computer will be delivered later than what I paid and hoped for, but also notified them that starting 27.06.2024 - I will be gonne from the country for 2 weeks.

PCSpecialist customer support had absolutely zero knowledge about my 7000 euro computer whereabout, from the moment it was picked up by UPS.

They provided the tracking number - that displayed that my pc went from UK to DE, then to NL, then back to UK, and then back to NL... and eventually after many emails and phonecalls - we found out that my computer will be delivered on the day that we are "closing shop" and leave for holidays.

Computer was delivered by a UPS driver on 27.06.2024 (16:50) with a van that did not have any unloading device. My 40KG package was unloaded by me (the customer) and a skinny, "I dont care" and "I dont speak any language" type of driver. The wooden box was damanged, the metal and wood from a corner was broken. The driver used another box (from another delivery) as a sort of "cuchon" to drop my 40kilo pack in front of my garage. I had to push it in.

UPS doesnt care about their drivers, their drivers dont care about the goods they transport, PCSpecialist doesnt care about what happens to the product after its leaving their premisses and they dont control the delivery.

You pay extra for quick delivery - they take the money - and dont care to follow up.

NEVER AGAIN, PC Specialist. You are no longer what you used to be.

Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and we are sorry to read of your frustrations with this order.

Upon review, i can see that your system was ordered on the 18th and dispatched on the 21st as in line with the 3 day fast track premium service you had purchased as part of your order from us.

It is upsetting to hear of the troubles which had occurred after the system had left us however. Be assured that your feedback will be investigated further internally with our courier company.

We do offer faster delivery options for a premium and you can be assured that the services being offered are those which have been confirmed to us by the courier company. As such, we are keen to understand why on this occasion, they hadn't been able to fulfil this service. A review of your tracking suggests there had been some troubles on the delivery side which attributed to this delivery delay. We will try to understand the specifics of this further with the courier company as to prevent such situations going forward.

On a close, it is disappointing to hear of the struggles incurred when the system was finally delivered. We are committed to supporting you further with this matter be assured, and as such, we will be reaching out directly to try and propose an amicable solution.

Kind regards,
PCSpecialist

feedback on order: was it as good as I wanted?

The building and delivering of the pc was great! everything went smooth and in a fast rhythm.
The problem I had, was that some services in windows services were disabled or turned off, which meant that using the microsoft store to download or update programs was impossible, and the same counts for Printer Spooling. So if you know how to work around that, you'll be fine and have an amazing experience

Amzing product

I bought a 15.3" Ionico laptop and let me just say that the quality it's amazing for the money. The option alone to have a full keyboard format at 15.3" is kinda unique on the market. The upgradability, sturdy metal casing and the very good screen are just bonuses.

Straight forward process

Straight forward process. The website has categories for different price ranges and it guides you well on your selections. I see very little chances or none at all to get incompatible parts. Really well made website and the company is responsive when contacted.

Since the late delivery to the fact…

Since the late delivery to the fact that I still have my product evaluated at 3000€ stoped in a corner because it does not work, and I still did not have an answer from you, when I need a thecnitian to came and fix it.
And what makes's it even worse is the fact it was said that it was put to the test in your company and that everything was OK and now I have a problem in hands without any solution

Hello Filipa Santos,

I am sorry to read of your negative experiences since receiving your new computer. I understand that you contacted us on Thursday morning to let us know about this issue and the technician asked if you had any pictures so we can try to help and resolve this. I understand that you have sent the pictures on Friday after our offices closed. We certainly want to help you and investigate what you are reporting, it looks like something is blocking the booting up of Windows so we may be able to resolve this over the phone with you by reviewing how the computer has been set up. I have asked one of our technicians to call you once we re-open.

I can confirm in looking at the logs we keep that your system did pass all tests, over 12 hours of stress testing in windows and over 20 power off and reboots to check this was all working perfectly, we would not dispatch a system to a customer if it did not work perfectly when we are testing and I apologise that you have not felt the benefit of this testing. We hope to make this right with you.

Best Wishes,

Fran

Hello Timofey Shinkevich

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review relating to your purchase. Now that you have your order you should receive no further emails.

Before placing the order, we do advise customers that they will receive email updates as the order goes through production and a confirmation at each stage of that order so they can track progress. This includes an email with pictures of the completed computer for if customers wish to make any cosmetic changes before dispatch. While I do recognise that this can result in quite a few emails, we generally receive feedback from our customers that they like the amount of updates, and we increased to this number based on feedback from customers in the past. It is a fine balance, as some customers want updates every step of the way - with it being custom made for them - and some just want a computer without, so we try to get this right for all. You should receive nothing further and I hope you enjoy the computer.

Best Wishes,

Fran
