Don't use this company!
Booking process simple and they took the money immediately for first class tickets Sydney to Melbourne - 2 days later said no first class available so offered economy - plans in place so agreed. Arrived at the station to find buses had replaced train so spoke to rail staff who said they were giving full refunds and gave a telephone number and reference. It was about now that I realised that I had not booked directly with the rail company. Requested a refund - giving rail ninja the telephone number and reference - no refund given as I didn't cancel more than 24 hours before departure!
I had also booked a second trip from Sydney to Canberra return, I cancelled this six days before travel via the website - didn't hear anything so cancelled again on the website four days before departure. Still nothing and certainly no refund.
Customer services polite but said they could not help as I had not cancelled the trip -despite explaining that I followed their instructions on the website to cancel twice, they then gave me a token refund of about one third of what we had paid.
Do not use this company, it is expensive, quick to take your money but almost impossible to get money back.
Bought tickets from Edinburgh to…
Bought tickets from Edinburgh to Inverness and after two months I still dont have the tickets. First I was told for several weeks that the tickets would be issued close to the time of departure. I then was told that one of the trips was oversold and that I had to pick another departure option. I then was sent as an option the same itinerary that I originally picked but was asked to pay an extra fee for " changing the tickets". After multiple attempts I still don't have the tickets, they promise they will email them but they never arrive .
This company is a scam
Twice the price - do not use !
Check the price you are paying for tickets. They charge about 200% of the price you would pay if you used a genuine rail site and not a rebooking service.
Many other sites seem to exist with genuine looking names which make you think you are dealing with the rail company and then redirect you to rail ninja for the actual booking. Be very careful !
Website is complete rip off
I accidentally used this website to book a train ticket the cost was €31 while the actual fare on the authentic site was 17, crazy.
I tried to cancel when I realised the error.
COMPLETE SCAM!
I paid for my ticket 14 days ago. The website says you will get a ticket within 48hours...three emails later I've gotten nothing but a computer-generated email saying "someone" will get back to me....
I've just contacted my credit card company and opened a fraud investigation. glad I read other reviews on this site, that prompted me to take action.
They Look Great on The Web, But They're Sketchy
I needed to purchase two tickets from London to Edinburgh. Rail Ninja came up first on Google Search and they looked professional enough, so I purchased the tickets there for US$276 on April 10th. When I received the receipt telling me that the tickets would be issued in a few days it should have signaled an alert since other tickets I had purchased for my trip on other rail lines delivered the E-Tickets immediately. But, I waited to see what would happen. On April 12, the tickets didn't arrive. So, on April 16th I contacted them to ask why the delay. I was told the tickets were about to be issued. But, by April 28 they still hadn't arrived. So, I contacted Rail Ninja and told them I wanted to cancel the order. I then went to RailEurope.com and purchased the London to Edinburgh tickets for $156 and realized that Rail Ninja was not only holding back on delivery but they were also trying to charge a service fee of $60 per ticket.
Of course it's difficult to admit that you've been 'taken'. I'm usually pretty careful when making online purchases, but this company has done such a good job with their website, search engine positioning in Google, and customer service it was difficult to see this coming.
Maybe they would have delivered the tickets in time for my train trip, but the train leaves on 5/13, today is 5/7 and I still haven't received any tickets. My advice is to steer clear of this company.
Rip off and appalling customer service
After naively buying 2 tickets through Rail Ninja and finding out, once the tickets were produced (which in fairness was efficiently done), that they'd charged me a 50% and 100% mark-up I lodged a complaint with their customer service that this was excessive. Apparently their Ts&Cs say they charge a service fee (without explanation or their scale) and they cannot provide a breakdown of ticket cost and fees at the point of sale because it's a "trade secret". I was then told that it's like a corner shop being more expensive than a supermarket! Unscrupulous about ripping their customers off and unrepentent when they're caught in the act of doing so. Next time I'll go elsewhere...
Railninja is Ripping off customers
I paid $56 for train ticket from Lisbon to Porto and found out the actual price for tickets is $26.22(23Euro) Considering service charge, they charge twice of the price. This is ripoff big time
Rail Ninja is a complete rip off
Rail Ninja is a complete rip off. booked tickets from Prague to Vienna and Vienna to Budapest face value of tickets about 160 but paid Rail Ninja about twice that.
Avoid at all costs.

Do not buy your train tickets here. This is a scam and this is how they work. They focus on one time customers ONLY by overcharging them with a margin of almost 100%. As they do not expect you to be a returning customer, they really do not care.
I bought tickets from them without…
I bought tickets from them without doing research (my bad). I paid 176€ for 2 people, Porto-Lisbon and back. When I looked at the ticket it said they were 25€ each, so 100€ in total. When I talked to them they had this whole explanation about this not being the final price because there were fees and such. I immediately checked the tickets to Lisbon and they were 31€ at the moment. I could get a refund but had to drop 30%. We're going tomorrow so new tickets + 30% would amount to the same total. I'm never ever using them again. No level of service can justifiy this kind of mark up.

THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM... AVOID. I HAVE REQUESTED A REFUND FOR TICKETS NEVER ISSUED. THEIR ANSWER IS " WE SENT YOUR REFUND" MY BANK HAS NEVER RECEIVED IT.
Dishonest company
Dishonest company. Information on website is deceptive. Cost of tickets through this company is more than double what you will pay with another agency. Trip Advisor board includes comments were individuals bought tickets that were worthless in Europe. AVOID

I'm having a serious problem with Rail ninja I bought a ticket from Edinburgh to London on 18/11/2018 first class I paid Usd 352.00 and after two months they sent me an email stating that the company does not sell first class online, but like that had on the website of Rail ninja selling already debited from my card and they are now wanting to refund me partial that would be the difference from first class to second discounting the value of second class today but I did not buy the ticket today is giving a difference large of my ticket order and RN 201901-25535 train GR 532000
