I've been renting an apartment from Heimstaden for over 4 years (Kløverbladsgade 65). And I have nothing to complain about them. All messages sent by them were both in Danish and English, so I was not stressed about the language. During my rental period I had to contact them only once (washing machine). And they handled it professionally - same day I got a confirmation that the serviceman will come within next 2 or 3 days. Public area was cleaned quite often. There was a space for kids to play around the building.
Because of private matters I had to terminate the contact and move-out. The whole process was smooth and pain-free. My special compliments to Kim D. who was running the move-out inspection. Super friendly and professional. Everything has been inspected carefully and all damages (which we both agree on) were reported in the file. He explained me everything in English, so I left the apartment confident about the process and next steps.

We just moved out from our apartment after 4 years living in it. The experience with the company through out this time was fine, nothing to complain about. Move in and move out had been good experiences, especially the move out with Kim D. He is a very nice person and you can see that he cares about the people he has in front of himself. He isn't just doing a job: he cares. This is a quality that nowadays I don't find often around. Thank you!

My daughter rented a small flat in Frederiksberg. At moving in many faults were noted in the move in report but not all. This was by no means a well-kept clean place and there were several faults such as scratches, stains and bad paintwork to name a few.
At moving out Heimstaden really knew how to charge! For example, it appears they want the whole floor redone for a few scratches in selected spots my daughter does not even admit she did. There are other claims also such as for example the paintwork which was pretty second class when she moved in as noted in the report. Can it be policy of Heimstaden to charge such a large deposit in order for them to then charge renters for restoration (in my opinion improvement) when they move out?
This has so far not been a good experience and will be disputed in due course. If I was to rent with Heimstaden I would take out my microscope and go through the place inch by inch. I wouldn’t let them rush me.

We asked Heimstaden to provide evidence that damages were caused by my daughter. We also asked for evidence about what actually was done for all the money charged. They chose not to provide this. I will provide updates as this case progresses through the proper channels. I will encourage everyone with the same problems to put it on trust pilot and complain to Heimstaden. This experience has not been good. Thank you

I am not here to bash this company because they took almost all of our deposit. I am just sharing our experience and helping others understand what to expect when renting a place from an agency like Heimstaden.
We rented an apartment from Heimstaden for a year. The whole process of viewing the apartment, signing the contract, and handing over the keys is very smooth and professional. During our stay, we had a couple of issues and the company was responsive to our inquiries. Considering the apartments are not cheap we expected that level of service. Still, we appreciated it. But then came the move-out day.
We stayed in this apartment only for a year and with no kids and pets we kept it really clean. Plus we did extra cleaning before moving out. The apartment looked like the day we moved in, with a few holes in the wall and the ceiling that are easy to fill. After a long and thorough inspection by a very serious and unfriendly staff, we were given a move-out report with all the things that had to be fixed. There was a mention of the walls, doors, and window frames being in "Dårlig" or a bad state which was clearly a lie. The inspector said this was normal procedure and they always paint walls and sand floors after every move-out. He realized how exaggerated the report was so he said the company would pay half of the costs for sanding the floor and made us feel like they were doing us a favor!
Anyways, six weeks after our move-out date we had to follow up to receive our deposit. What we got back was a joke. Almost 80% of our deposit was gone. A receipt of things they fixed was attached and it was insane! Everything had to be painted twice, which clearly didn't need to be and they were some items in there that were not agreed on. I am not saying they charged us for things they didn't do, because the receipt looks pretty legit. But the things they did in the apartment were not necessary considering how well we had kept the place.
At the end of the day, these things are expected when you are dealing with an agency and we were ready to face that. But taking all of your deposit after a year and while we had taken such good care of the apartment did feel like a scam.

The inspector was on time, he was very friendly, explained the process clearly to us and he then checked the most important parts, including electric devices, but without being extremely picky. The flat was clean, freshly painted and sanded and varnished by professionals so the process was smooth and fast.

This company steals your money. So disappointed, first it seems all good, the rental properties are nice, the maintenance is ok. Then when you move out, they will refuse to pay your deposit and will charge you extra on top of it. Please read the reviews before you work with them, and if I can give you one advice, keep away!!!

It was a nice experience during the move in. However, if the electricity, water & heater meter details would have been inspected infront of the tenant it would be nice. Now I am clueless what is the readings, how I will be contacted by the companies. Also, some defects still there, like water drain issue in the kitchen, we just landed on 8th morning to the home after move in inspection and the sink is not draining the water, I tried to contact the customer care and it's not possible to reach them even after 15mins of call wait. Also, I am not able to login to the Minbolig portal for the last two days, even after sending mail to customer service team.
