Too expensive
It is too expensive to order to UK with the customs charges. What surprised me was the bottles of the wine, which weighed 900gr empty. I have ordered before same brand wine but it was not in so heavy bottles. Not worth ordering again.
Avoid if in the UK
Don’t order from UK it is-extremely expensive when they add on customs charges - doubles the cost of the wine - the same wine £8 in the UK from Vinello - £19 .Probably ok if living in the EU

Amazing company
Amazing company. I had my first experience buying Spanish brandy. All I can say is- one of the best companies I have dealt with. Great customer service, got updates for my purchase all the way until delivery. Fantastic!
Great prices but poor delivery
I placed my order on 2 Aug 2025 on basis of 4 - 6 day delivery which fit in for it's intended private function on 9 Aug 2025. To begin with my order didn't show as dispatched (?) until 4 Aug 2025. My order arrived in the UK early on 7 Aug 2025.
Thus is where things went badly wrong. I consistently checked my order status & tracking + emails right up until the morning of 9 Aug 2025. It was still on hold in customs clearing. I checked info on courier website. That indicated a possible problem with the the final destination, or something else, not being easily read on the shipping label.
I ended up having to purchase wines from some of my local supermarkets. So disappointed.
In the end I received customs payment requests from the courier late on 13 Aug 2025. Ten days after placing my order and way too late.

Review the website re delivery and ask availability prior
I placed a £400+ order on 17th June. Advertised delivery was 7-9 days. Given some of the reviews I emailed 6 days after to enquire. The response was very quick, apologetic, and explained there would be a significant delay due to popularity of the wine ordered. They offered a refund or any other method to rectify. I chose to cancel and my money was refunded in the day.
I appreciate the misleading delivery dates on the website are a regular cause of complaint on the other reviews, and in my case they were also misleading. That being said when I enquired they could not have been more helpful or efficient. I did have to enquire though and the delay was 5 to 6 weeks not 7-9 days advertised delivery. Perhaps some more accuracy on the website may allow customers to make their choices. At present it appears as in stock and available for dispatch. That clearly wasn't the case.
This is obviously not a 5* review, but it is reflective of how well the after care was when I queried this. This is clearly not a 'Scam' as some reviews claim. This is a well established German company. I do think reading the reviews that their focus is on the domestic German Market however as it seems most complaints refer to international or European export markets. Exporting to the UK is clearly an issue. It might be worth emailing first to check availability, but regardless remember since the UK left the EU there will be significant customs delays anyway, regardless of how fast Vinello can dispatch.
4* for aftercare and efficient cancellation of the order. Good luck Vinello I hope that is the only issue. I appreciate a family business.

Once despatched, the order took about 3 weeks to arrive due to the general slowness of UK customs, but this isn't the fault of Vinello.

Simple, easy process to get a wonderful wine
I fell in love with this wine at a restaurant but discovered it wasn’t available in the UK. I have never imported wine before (I’m in my 70’s) because I thought it was too much trouble. But the wine was so good I had to try. I cannot impress enough how good the seller was. The details given to a novice importer were incredibly clear and well written. I couldn’t have done better myself and my career was based on communications. The whole process was so simple that I’ll definitely do it again. So, if it’s a breeze for an old git like me, think how easy it will be for someone who’s in a hurry and needs a slick and fuss free way to get amazing wine!

I have been trying to contact vinello about part of an order that wasn’t delivered from March. I have sent multiple emails and had no response with no phone number available to contact. Appalling customer service and no means to request a refund.

Nothing wrong with the service, but!
Nothing wrong with the service, they seems to have a good system with DHL in Germany/ParcelForce in the UK. After customs clearance charges, VAT and Excise Duty this does make buying wine from Germany very expensive. However, I made a very poor choice in expecting 2022 Trollinger purchased in 2025 to taste good, it was awful, almost undrinkable. A very very expensive mistake to make!!
They don't have items in stock and…
They don't have items in stock and delivery dates are a total lie.
My order had all items that may be sent in 3-6 days from the warehouse. Instead, I waited more than 14 days to get an order status update. They sent only part of the order.
Now 30 days passed since the order.
The other part may still be shipped. When? Nobody knows.
No contacts were given, no support, only a useless contact form in the account that nobody answered after filling.
Avoid.
