The lady I spoke to was very helpful…

The lady I spoke to was very helpful and knowledgeable. It was a complicated question I was asking her, but she was patient and polite, and gave me some answers and advice that were helpful. She couldn't give me the most important answer I wanted, but only because of data protection laws, so she was very professional too!

These people are scammers

These people are scammers. You get nothing for your money. You cannot speak to anyone, and they can take days to reply to messages. When they do, they can't (more accurately, deliberately do not) answer simple questions or give straightforward information. Instead, they spout the company training manual at you in the hope that you won't take action to cancel your membership or added charges (so-called 'bolt-ons'). Avoid these people like the plague. I am reporting them to the FCA for malpractice.

THIS IS A COMPANY OF SCAMMERS IMO. i signed up to Loqbox eith a £20 Grow bolt-on as their ad came up while I was conducting a personal financial review and the language they used was convincing and confusing enough that I thought I was signing up to a savings scheme to build my credit rating. In fact, it's a way of them taking your money in order to not spend it (they just take it), and once they inform the credit companies that you haven't spent it, your credit rating is supposed to improve because you didn't use the 'credit' that was offered to you. There's no proof that they ever contact credit agencies or that your rating improves as a result of their service.

When i asked them what happened to my money and could I withdraw it, their staff replied with very confusing and unclear 'explanations' of the 'service' they provide. They never answered the questions I was asking, and were obviously using a set script they'd been given by the company to avoid answering direct questions. When I finally spoke to a supervisor, it was the same thing. I eventually worked out that they were just taking my money in return for telling the credit agencies that I wasn't spending the credit.

i asked for the bolt-on to be cancelled: same thing, until I spoke to another supervisor who apologised for not cancelling earlier, and saying the bolt-on had been cancelled. Imagine my surprise this month when the payment was taken again, but this time for £30. I used their chat service to complain, only to get the usual spiel about the service they provide and saying what a shame it was I had not noticed my services are still active! I am now waiting for them to come back to me so I can continue trying to get my money back. AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE.

confusing tracking and no delivery

I owe DPD an apology. I was expecting 2 parcels from Epson. I had been told by them that the big one would arrive on the Tuesday, but I didn't have a date for the other one, and wasn't expecting it until the end of the week. Nor did I know that it would be sent via DPD, as it was something that could be posted through my letterbox.

In fact, the smaller parcel was delivered on Tuesday, but I'm still waiting for the larger one, which I'm told will now be delivered on Friday as the supplier finally processed the order at the end of last week.

I would still say that the way the tracking system records delivery to a neighbour is confusingly worded and needs improving, but there is no issue with DPD on thedelivery side of things in this case, and I apologise sincerely to them for my original review.

Great service and quality, highly recommended

Great service and quality, and for the price you pay, the sofabeds from Sofa bed expert are fantastic value. Solidly built, lovely actions that give you confidence in their construction, quality thick fabrics and beautiful, firm uppholstery. I'm highly satisfied with the one we bought, and if we needed another, I'd go back to Sofa Bed Expert for it, honest. the staff are very friendly (we bought online and were impressed by their politeness and availability. I was able to phone them even on a Saturday and got the manager on the end of the line. Such a rare thing tospeak to real people these days. Highy recommended.

Appalling estate agent, unprofessional and unhelpful

We let our old family home through Dexters in Streatham Hill in October 2019. We dealt with Tatiana, an agent who is still with the company in some capacity, according to the manager of that branch.

The tenants they found were professional scammers, and proper due diligence would have discovered that they had taken out cases against previous landlords. As it was, they asked for extra time to pay the deposit (which we agreed), and when they moved in, asked to paint the house white (which we refused, but they did anyway). They also brought in a dog, which was explicitly not allowed in the tenancy agreement.

There was a small leak from the bathroom which we fixed, but that set off a string of spurious complaints about the condition of the hosue, which Dexters had vetted and approved before letting. After we visited the house and refused to repair something that wasn't broken, the tenants gave notice, and in February 2020, left the house without allowing us to visit to check the condiiton of the property.

They walked away with a 43 inch plasma TV, and damage to the house. They then had the cheek to take out a money claim which we settled in order to avoid litigation and further expense. They accepted less than a third of what they were claiming, showing that the claim was indeed spurious.

Throughout all this, Dexters and Tatiana in particular, were useless and unsupportive, apart from an occasional email to tell the tenants they could not do any unauthorised painting. We firmly believe that Tatiana and the branch were not at all bothered about the calibre of tenants they brought in and did not carry out the requisite checks. They did, at least, accept that we should not have to pay them more than £6000 in charges, which they were claiming for having found the tenants. As a result of COVID, the house remained empty until August 2020, so we lost more than £15,000 in rent.

The new manager had the gall to ask if we would be interested in letting through them again. When I queried whether they had kept a complete record of the previous tenants, including a check-out process, so I could sort out the council tax owed by the tenants, she said they had not. So I cannot prove to the local authority that I am not liable for council tax for the period the tenants were in the house, since the leaving date is not recorded.

All in all, this was a traumatic and annoying experience for us and we would strongly recommend you stay away from Dexters at all costs. They are unprofessional and not all helpful. We have only just finished dealing with all the fallout, and still have to get them to write to the local authority about the date the tenants moved out.

Highly recommended

I'm using Moneygram regularly now in West Africa since having major issues with another money transfer service who couldn't seem to get different parts of their union - sorry, company - to work together. Compared to them, Moneygram has been a breeze, easy, which and reliable. We could always hope to have better fx rates, but Moneygram are competitive in that regard. I recommend them.

Excellent service and keen prices

I ordered 6 bottles of 2 different perfumes, they arrived on time, withini three working days, and for a great price. having suffered appalling customer service from so many other stores, I cannot speak highly enough of this company, which I have used before (the last time, I had to request a refund because I got the order wrong and ran out of time to replace it). They have always been courteous and efficient and do not patronise the customer (unlike Next, with whom I have recently had a most horrendous experience)

Fair price, good service

Fair price, Guildford to Croydon would have cost me a tenner in petrol and three hours to get there and back. Good communication with the seller to pick up the bookcase, and arrived when thevdrithe said he would. Regular texts and emails meant I knew what was happening.
