I figured it was finally time I did an intro post, so here we go!

Hi! I'm Just Your Average Alternan Fuzzball, but you can call me Alternan Fuzzball/Fuzzie/Fuzz for short!

I primarily post about Splatoon, specifically Deep Cut, Agent 4 and the Octarians! Also Grand Festival because my mental state is forever stuck there. I miss it so much...

My main ships are Shiver X Frye and Pearl X Callie (though I am a multishipper so expect some Pearlina, Calpearlina and Calpearlinacht too)! Check out everything I post about them by using #shivrye and #pop queens!

Second of all: I'm so glad you asked!!!

I've been shipping Pearl and Callie together since August I think. I remember seeing an Idol Ship tier list and wanted to see what mine would be like, and when I got to the Calpearl option I thought 'Huh, I don't see those two depicted together a lot, romantically or even platonically, but they make a great pairing!'

And then. And then the obsession began.

I started thinking of what a possible relationship between them would be like and was overwhelmed with ideas because this rarepair is basically nonexistent so I had plenty to work with. I started drawing them together and realised that this ship made me... happy, if that makes any sense? I loved the dynamic I had created for them and it was like it was my special thing, since no-one else actively ships them. That doesn't stop me from wanting this ship to get more popular though lol

Ever since then it's been one of my top ships, though I am a multishipper so I also enjoy other variations, like Capearlinacht (which is a whole other rabbit hole hehehe)

Recently I've been getting the urge to draw other rarepairs (specifically Callie X Frye and Shiver X Marina). I think that's just how I am - I see pairings with not much content but a lot of potential and get the urge to create for it, and I guess Pearl X Callie was the one I latched onto haha

That's basically it. Thanks so much for asking!!! As I said above I'd love to see some more people pay attention to this ship, though I do like the fact that to some people I am the Calpearl person lol.

An extra note: I've collected loads of different names for them! So far these are the tags I use: Pearllie, Calpearl, Pinkshipping, Pearlyblush, Pop Queens, Pearl X Callie and Callie X Pearl. Also Clashing Hues of Pink to a certain extent, as that is the name of the oneshot I wrote about them.

I feel like the Mechanic wouldn't mind Shelly and Donny's cute weapon rambles...

(Mark my words, these two cuties are gonna be in Raiders. Did you spot them on the newspaper at the beginning of the trailer? I feel like that's a hint that they're gonna be involved somehow... plus they were the focus of the Christmas official artwork!!!)

Starting the year off right by drawing my precious pop queens! I adore all the scrapped grand festival outfits so expect me to draw a lot more of them this year hehehe

Here's my art summary for the year! And what a year it has been...

At the start, I still wasn't super confident in my art skills, but I was finally feeling satisfied with the end results of my drawings. Afterwards, from about May to July, my art style began to develop, and ever since August I've been enjoying drawing more than ever. I've accomplished one of the main goals I set myself when I started drawing regularly - I have an art style of my own! I couldn't be happier :3

Art Fight was also such a cool experience, and I want to thank everyone who drew something for me once again. I can't wait for next year's event! (The July drawing was an attack I did for @/zikadraws btw, so it's of their OC)

Finally, I'd just like to thank everyone who's supported me this year! Whether it's my Welcome to Octopia art, my Calpearl/Pearllie stuff or just random scribbles, it makes me so happy that my art is received so well and I love interacting with people on here. I'm not super popular or anything but I still get more attention that I ever thought I would (HOW do I have 136 followers??? How??) and I am so grateful for it. Thank you all so much!! :D

I can't believe how quickly this whole thing grown!! To think that only 6 months ago I was celebrating 1000 hits... and now there's only two chapters left to write. I am so incredibly happy that it's been received so well, and I can't wait to continue on with this story next year :D
