Joe Hills

Any other suggestions on who should be a human and who should be an alien? There's only one Joe Hills. He's special.

Suggestions can be of anyone from Smps connected to Life Series Members. For example: Vampires, Rats Smp, etc. No Dsmp, Qsmp or Origins Smp though.

The smell alone made bile rise in Scar's throat. The sight in itself was a whole nother story. Flies buzzed around rotting corpses, blood smeared the walls like an old coat of paint. Bodies lay in various stages of decomposition. It was a horror fest down here. Each person seemed to have died some way different. Flashlights panned over the dark hallways of the hidden lab. Footsteps of fellow cops echoed through the empty corridors. Body after body, a hand here, a leg there, a head down the way. What the hell had happened. He found a man with his head snapped, hanging by his own intestines down one hallway. A woman was barely even recognizable because of the flesh having been melted from her face. A young cop next to him had to turn away, gagging at the sight. Still they had yet to find the cause of this shit show. Scar pushed onward, stepping over bodies with unknown names and unidentifiable faces, if they had one that is. How long had this place been around? He thought the government had shut the program down. Yet here he was, amongst the carnage of a place that had clearly been active recently. It made him sick to think that this must be where so many of those missing persons had ended up. There was a hiss from the radio on his hip as it crackled to life. A voice came through, staticy but telligible,

"We have access to the camera footage."

Scar breathed a sigh of relief, picking the radio up and quickly responding with an affirmative before continuing on. More bodies, this place was just filled with them. Each hall he went down there was more of these corpses. He passed a medical room, a body was impaled through the neck with a scalpel. Next door, a man with his head completely twisted around. Next door a younger guy with-.. and this made Scar pause, but it looked like someone had taken a bite out of his face. That couldn't be physically possible though, unless they had animals down here. There was a muffled noise ahead in the pitch black hallway. It was just beyond their flashlights. Quickly Scar pulled his gun out from where it was holstered on his hip. He could hear the cops behind him do the same. The moved forward slowly, keeping their flashlights off and their footsteps light so as to not give themselves away. It didn't seem to matter anyways. With each step closer the noise grew louder. It was a wet sound, mixed with the snapping and crunching of bone. A flashlight clicked on and slowly rose upon the sight before them. Atop of another body sat a figure. Their medical gown was in tatters. Tearing through not only the gown but also their flesh, was a pair of skeletal wings. Blood slowly slid down his back where bones had clearly forced their way out of the figures back. Scar could see small feathers poking through the skin on the wings. They dragged across the ground, twitching and moving as the person moved. Scar's eyes traveled up the person's back and to their face. A tangled head of blonde waves hid the person's face. He wished it could their actions. He watched the person's jaw unhinge, their mouth filled with rows of sharp teeth. The teeth dripped with blood as they sank into the chest of the corpse and ripped. Flesh peeled away from muscle and bone with a sickening, wet, tearing sound. The person lifted a hand, tipped with sharp claws, to help them gorge on the flesh. Their other hand moved, one finger slowly dragging down over the body's stomach. Gently the winged person pushed the corpse's flesh to the side to pull out their stomach. They were so delicate as they lifted it up to their lips and bit in. Blood dribbled down from their lips, dripping down onto the puddle of blood on the floor.

Scar lifted his gun, and all hell broke loose.

Scar sat back in his desk chair with a groan. He slowly lifted his calloused fingers to his head to gently touch the bandage. He had sustained and pretty hard knock to the head from-, from whatever that thing was. It had taken several gunshots for the beast to finally collapse, allowing them to detain it. It fought like the devil had a grip on their soul. If it even still had one. The creature had almost killed him. He was grateful though, 2 of the other cops with him hadn't been so lucky. He dragged a scarred hand down his face before sitting upright to go over the file and the footage that had been left on his desk earlier. Flipping open the file a name and a faxe stared up at him. Grian Moon. He had disappeared 15 years ago, presumed dead from the lack of clues. Here he was though, after all this time, another victim to a disgusting study that should have never existed. He pushed the file away from himself, leaving it for later. He grabbed one of the cassette tapes, staring at it incredulously. For such a high tech lab, why keep their footage on something like a cassette. He grumbled as he stood and walked over to the little TV to play the cassette tape. He had gotten the TV as a joke. He hadn't thought he'd ever actually use it one day. Especially not for a case. He put the cassette in and sat down to watch, his eyes fixed to the screen.

He didn't know what he was expecting but it wasn't this. Seven year old Grian was shown strapped to a table, screaming his head off and yanking at the leather that bound him to the table. It was all to no avail. Doctors filed into the room, never giving a mind to the boy who sobbed and begged for his Mama. Scar's heart dropped as the young boy let out a blood cuddling scream. No anesthesia was given to the child before they were cutting into his flesh. They jabbed him with needles and cut into his skin. It made him sick to watch the kid scream until he passed out from the pain.

Everything began similarly each time. Strapped to a table and injected and cut open. Some clips showed Grian in his cell, pacing the room like a wild animal. In some tapes Grian writhed in pain, screaming that he was dying. Other times the boy was vomiting blood. Scar watched the child grow into a teen and then into an adult with each tape. He watched a teenage Grian stare at the camera for hours. Another clip showed Grian screaming at the camera that he was going to kill himself. There was no way of the boy doing that though. It was just a desperate plea for everything to end. It wouldn't not for years. Scar picked up a tape labeled 'Breakthrough'. It started like they all had before, but this time when they shoved Grian into his cell a gaurd followed. Scar was caught off gaurd by the change, and Grian was too. Grian's shock didn't last for long. The teen lunged at the gaurd, cussing at the person, promising that he would kill them. Grian didn't get far before he was given a harsh kick to the gut. Grian collapses to the flood, coughing as he held his stomach. The next several minutes were filled with Grian's begging screams and sobs. Scar wished he could tear his eyes away from the screen, but it was like watching a train wreck you couldn't stop. When the gaurd left the cell, Scar thought surely the person had killed him. Grian's stomach lay outside his body, his limbs were snapped in two. and a bullet wound in his chest seeped out blood. Teeth lay scattered across the floor in the puddle of blood from the multiple other stab wounds on Grian. But the tape continued to roll. Scar's jaw dropped as bones slowly shifted back into place, cracking sickeningly. The bullet and stab wounds slowly began to shut. Grian lurched up with a gasp, looking around with a wild eyed panic, and the tape shut off.

Scar scrambled to grab the next tape, shoving it in. After 'Breakthrough' the tapes became even darker. Grian had symbols burnt into his flesh. They continued to cut him open but this time they would leave him to bleed out. Each time they would do more to try and kill him. Each time it failed and the Doctors grew more excited. Scar watched in one tape as they lit Grian on fire in the center of a circle of candles. Scar prayed that the circle under Grian was just red paint, but he knew better by now. Something in Grian changed after the ritual in that tape. Grian lashed out more. He was angrier, and was slowly becoming less human. He would stare at the camera for hours, never moving. He wouldn't sleep, barely ate. Sometimes he would mutter to himself, a crazed look in his eyes. Each new injection made Grian less and less human. He watched Grian stay perfectly still as bones grew under his skin, piercing through his back and forming wings. The wings quickly grew skin over them. Grian never made a peep the whole time. Another injection led to Grian tearing a doctor's hand off as shark like teeth popped out of Grian's gums. Grian's staring continued on for longer, his eyes no longer blue but a pitch black with no white.

Scar finally picked up the last tape. He had been sitting in front of this little TV for 9 hours, dawn beginning to trickle in through his office blinds. He was desperate to be over with these damned tapes already. He pushed the tape in. The tape showed the earlier recordings of that fated day. Grian was pushed into his cell and the door was being pushed shut. Grian who normally stood so still now lunged. The guards had grown sloppy from Grian's lack of fight. The door was flung open and Grian sank his teeth into the guard's face. The other guard tried to run but Grian grabbed them. The guard's head was slammed into the floor, over and over and over, till his brain began to slip from the crushed hole in his skull. Grian shot off down the hall afterwards. He bounded off walls, his wings giving him extra speed. The moment Grian was loose the whole underground lab was done for. The tape was filled with the screams of the doctors as Grian tracked them down one after the other. Finally, the camera panned to Scar entering through the roof of the lab and the tape ended.

Ok but the watchers are REALLY favoring Scar this series. Like how many times did he walk RIGHT OVER the square hole without dying???? He is the only player who has yet to die. Also he was the ONLY person who wasn’t there for the octo kill. And he got boogeyman twice(although thsts arguably a curse)

Not to mention the fact that he has mentioned The Whispers are looking out for him, as well as talking about Secret Life multiple times. It definitely looks like the Watchers have a favorite. Especially since he is STILL on 6 Lives and now just pulled off that awesome 6 person kill.

I don't think we're addressing the horror of the gimmicks returning as much as we should actually cause while I've seen people talk about next session having soulbounds I haven't seen anyone addressing session 5 having TASKS.

AND RIGHT AFTER THIS LOREDROP?? WHERE HE BASICALLY CONFIRMS IT'S THE WATCHERS KEEPING HIM IN THERE??

Scar, who already thought wild life was a weird but sweet dream since he got dragged right back to the sunflowers when it ended, receiving a task on session 5 in past life. Staring down at the offending piece of paper in disbelief. That hollow haze coming back and not leaving, even when the book doesn't tell him to Win Secret Life over and over like they always do.

Pearl, suddenly feeling like she's only half of herself on session 3, a feeling she hoped to never feel again. The immediate panic and despair, much to the confusion of her teammates- even if Grian remembers, he might not understand. Avoiding Scott all day even if they're not soulbound this time.

tl;dr: dude pearl and scar are gonna be miserable, those gimmicks absolutely RUINED them in their respective winning seasons 😭 alliances or lackthereof always play a big role in how ruined a winner is (which is so far all of them besides joel. joel is living his best life) but i feel like for scar and pearl the gimmick played a HUGE role in that - large enough for it to be a bigger part of the trauma. Pearl likely wouldn't have suffered as much without the soulbond, and the secret keeper consistently gave Scar tasks that isolated him from everyone else, basically molding its own winner. Not to mention, keeping an eye on said winner for years by not letting him leave.

Something about the fact a new "no sacrifices" rule was added to Past Life's boogeyman, seemingly custom-built for Scott. Just... something about that.
