in a not so smart move when i couldn’t sleep last night i was going through the captainpan tag again and i came up with another fic idea for them

cursed AU where the first curse takes peter and hook to storybrooke and like so cursed!peter is friends with henry and when henry starts like trying  to make everyone remember he gets to peter and peter remembers that he was trying to steal henry’s heart(and hook is his true love)

A wild cp post? I’m intrigued!

In an interview, Colin did say if Killian was cursed in the first he’d most likely be a priest, or something similar, who wasn’t as pious as the town assumed. As for Pan, I like to think Gold has a little asterisk in the curse to where if Pan got caught in it he’d be warded to Gold, so that way Gold can watch him and control him and whatnot. And Peter is a particularly naughty boy around town, the local trouble maker getting other boys to hang up. They could be Henry’s bullies too instead of friend. Cursed!Pan knowing he wants something from Henry, that thought poignant in his mind, but he doesn’t remember what it is, figures he’ll find out when he gets it. Regina trying to get ahead of the bullies, but Pan is warded by Gold thus is untouchable by all but Gold. And the whole town knows it.

As for names? Killian I’ve always thought would be cursed as James, to flirt with the idea of James Hook. His last name could be the Rogers. So like James Rogers, but he mostly goes by Rogers. Peter getting the pet name Jas the more he taunts the leader of the local parish. Peters name is a tricky one for me to be frank. Like I have a good genderswap name for him, but as cursed, in my personal thoughts I put him as Malcolm because I refuse to admit the genealogy the show has put in place. NOW, that doesn’t mean Gold couldn’t wiggle his fingers and have Peter’s cursed name be Malcolm Gold so Peter is always called by the name he hates and doesn’t want to be or be linked too, as well as the person.

Oh, and Regina wanting to get the book from Henry, like she does, and, instead of stealing herself, she enlists Pan, ahem, Malcolm to take it. Malcom of course wondering what it’ll get him especially with Henry’s new mommy sheriff getting in everyone’s business. Regina offering a variety of things but nothing peeks his interest, nothing sparks the candle in him telling him he’s searching for something. “How about a favor, hmm?” Regina unimpressed snickering something along the lines of just like Rump- Gold. She ultimately agrees and Malcom gets his boys, the catch Henry heading to the park, crossing in front of him, playing the whole “what ya got there!?” “Hey, that’s mine!” Peter flipping through the book, rolling his eyes at the fairy tales within until he spots his own face, demanding an answer from Henry why he’s in it. Henry explaining to which Malcom laughs but something in him tells him he needs to look at the book more, he even uses that as reason to take it find out ‘his story.’ The crew leaving Henry on the sidewalk as they walk away, Emma showing up moments later to find him feeling with upset.

Peter taking the book to Gold’s house and flipping through it in his room, recognizing the faces and the stories but not the characters themselves. He finds his supposed story, reads and clips through it pausing at the stories pirate, knowing him as the local priest, the one deals with on small occasions. His fingers reach to touch, a want in him brewing he hasn’t get for the man before. He recognizes his own tales, memories flashing, but gone as fast as they arrive.

Here’s a fun thought.

What if our boy Killian Jones gave HIMSELF that lil scar on his cheek when he went back in time and punched himself in the face? Those rings, man

if liam were like 8-10 years older than killian instead of like 1-3 years, i feel like it would have made a dramatic change to their story. like, brennan abandoning them when either A, killian was like 3 and liam was 13, or B, killian was 9 and liam was 17.

young teen liam being responsible for toddler killian on top of them being passed off to this random crew to serve. killian having practically no memories of his father at all, while liam simmers in hate and disgust for the man. liam being a bit darker, willing to do some bad things for the sake of raising and protecting killian. a lot of killian getting into things he shouldn’t because he is a curious child and liam frantically yelling at him, not because he wants to scare him or be cruel, but because he is terrified that a crewman or the captain will toss his brother overboard if he messes up too badly. liam unintentionally making killian grow distrustful of others just because he wants him to be safe. killian not knowing how other children live, or that his life is unusual. liam pushing himself to teach him someday, when he gets them out of there.

or older teen liam refusing to accept working for the captain or crew, planning an escape as soon as they threaten killian’s life to force him into working. liam and killian on the run in a foreign country, stealing to get by, wary of authority figures, unsure of their destination but unwilling to stay by the water to avoid possible run-ins with anyone who might recognize them and force them back into servitude. running from law enforcement for stealing. killian learning to pick pocket. both falling into the roles of charming con artists. liam feeling a steady dose of guilt for it.

we all know i love soft millian but what about dark millian. what about milah plunging her sword into a man’s guts for the first time during battle, the rush of adrenaline from bloodying the deck, killian looking on at her very brief look of shock followed by her deeply satisfied grin, him feeling both proud and guilty of what he’s trained her to do, what they do together, and post-fight dirty sweaty sex in the captain’s cabin

Killian was unprepared when Peter left, but he knew that the moment the boy felt the slow trickle of love on the back of his neck, like water droplets after a warm shower, he was done. Perhaps that’s really Killian’s fault for trying to hold him down when he had no intentions of being kept.

Alice Jones + her weekly trip to the principal’s office.

This is perfect

OH MY GOD YES!!!!

I can’t- I gotta flail over this.

Look at her little face.

She just knows she’s in deep doody. Trying her hardest to appear innocent and regretful.

‘Butter wouldn’t melt’, my arse.

Giving off that look of “they might have got it wrong cos i’m not so sure i’m meant to be here”

Meanwhile poor papa Jones is getting a right earful off the principal, hearing the list of things she’s done.

OHMMMG YES

meanwhile you know it’s always something completely well-meaning, not malicious or harmful, but just….pure Alice.

Like the time she freed the class pet hamster because he looked lonely and couldn’t hear the stories being read during storytime from his tank in the corner.

Or the time she accidentally started a food fight because they just learned the basics of the scientific method and later that day at lunch she was all “papa says that toast always lands butter-side down and we have to test the hypothesis!”

Just sitting there swinging her legs on the bench all ready for papa to get out of his meeting because she has to tell him that she dropped 24 pieces of toast and only 17 of them landed butter-side down and, papa, she’s a scientist now and she has to record her observations and this delay is just quite unnecessary, really.

Yesssss!!! All of this!!!!

She would also absolutely be that kid that gets in trouble for correcting her history teacher, or refusing to do the art assignment given to them because the canvas is asking her to do something else, or reading ahead in class because everyone else is just so slow. Besides, she’s already read this book, and when are we getting to something a little bit more difficult or dramatic?

She pulls a Sarah from The Little Princess and during her time to read, she adds some Jones flare to it, putting on a sort of one-woman play until the teacher blows a gasket.

Omg this is the cutest !

Liam and Killian would totally cheer against the other’s team in every sport. Even if secretly they were rooting for the same team, one would want to be a piss ant about it and just needle the other one.

Alice splits between the two, likely choosing to cheer against the more invested one just to see the vein in their head pop out.

Just imagine…

A reality in Once in which people who suffered violent or untimely deaths get a new life between this world and the next as imaginary friends to lonely kids. And one day in the tower, Alice talks to her papa about the pretty woman with the wild hair who talks about spices and teaches her new art techniques, and the strict but kind man who asks if her papa is happy and gives a side-eye to all the tower plants.

The Problem with Secrets

Had a discussion about the Echo Caves in the episode “Ariel,” the ones you can only get out of if someone is willing to reveal a secret they would never want to admit to anyone. It seemed a little strange that Hook claimed to have lost half his crew in those caves but, obviously, had lived himself to tell the tale.  That is he either had to be part of a group that made it out or spoke to someone who made it out.

So, did it take them a lot of trial and error to figure out how to escape (during which half his crew died) or were people really that unwilling to spill their guts even when their lives were at stake?

I realized there was a third option: Hook and some of his crew get trapped in the caves. Hook has to spill his deep, dark secret.

Hook gets out of the cave. Hook decides he doesn’t like members of his crew knowing his deep, dark secret–and definitely doesn’t want them telling the rest of the crew when they get back to the ship.

Hook reduces the number of his crew.

Pan thinks this is hilarious and manages to get Hook trapped their multiple times. Hook loses half his crew before Pan gets bored/makes whatever deal he had with Hook that let him leave on occasional supply and recruitment runs.

Or maybe he didn’t get bored, and Hook had to keep recruiting.

That seems so much more plausible than that they just died. Damn, what would Hook not want others to know about?

Could be lots of things. Maybe he didn’t want them to know that he didn’t believe Pan about why the king wanted dreamshade or didn’t care. His real reason for not going back was that he’d already been demoted from captain to lieutenant, and the only person who would have him serve under him was his brother. He decided to turn pirate because he knew, after getting his brother killed and coming back without the dreamshade, he’d be disgraced and out of the navy.

So, basically, he’d ruined his crew’s lives and made them outlaws who could never go home to save his own pride (and keep the ship).

Wait, did he actually say he’d been in the caves on the trip with his brother? I was under the assumption (because I haven’t watched the episodes since they aired) that he was referencing his time on Neverland after Milah was killed.

Sorry, guess I said that badly. I’m assuming Hook went into the caves after he went to Neverland to escape Rumple. However, I’m guessing he’d told his men lots of times (before Neverland and after) that he was an heroic pirate (I’m also assuming at least a few of his men were ones who’d been there at the beginning of his pirating career). Instead, the truth was he’d been saving his own skin.

OK, maybe he had worse secrets, but that was what I could come up with.

I don’t think he would consider his becoming a pirate a secret he needed to keep. I assumed that most of his crew continued on with him so all they really knew about Neverland was that they went there and something about it killed their captain and then they became pirates.

Like, I would assume Hook would be all “My secret is that I loved Milah so much.” And the rest of the pirates with him would be all “…We know. We were there. She was with us for years. This is not a secret.”

Alternatively, maybe he made a group go in first and when they couldn’t make their way out safely, abandoned them only to find that some of them managed to come stumbling back after figuring out what they needed to do to escape.
