its not necessarily based on the characteristics you possess, its the ones you value, and that my friends is completely different. that is why the sorting hat considers your choice, otherwise why would he bother with your opinion

This is specifically for the Sherlockians (Mari) on my dash who are debating which houses Sherlock characters would belong to. I find the whole thing very interesting.
I really enjoy all three current incarnations of Sherlock; they’re all so different. This was a bit of a long labor of love. There’s still a lot I’d like to go back and change but for now this will do. Can you spot all the references?

BBC Sherlock is my favorite tv show, and 1984 by George Orwell is my favorite novel. I’ve been mulling over this for a long time. I think that if these two universes collided, John would be Winston and Sherlock would be Julia. Maybe Lestrade as O'Brien, Mrs Hudson as Mr Charrington, Molly as Syme, Moriarty (or Mycroft?) as Big Brother…?
Would anyone be interested in reading this if I wrote it as a fic?
