If you want to know what a company…

If you want to know what a company truly thinks of its customers, watch how they treat you when something goes wrong — not when everything's fine.
Qonto suspended my account. No warning, no clear explanation. Fine, compliance exists, I understand that. But what happened next is where it crosses from disappointing into genuinely unacceptable: they cut off all support at the exact moment I needed it most.
Chat? Disabled. Email? Unanswered. Phone? Non-existent, as always. For five full business days, I was left completely in the dark — no status update, no timeline, no human being to speak to. Just silence. My business funds frozen, my operations paralyzed, and Qonto apparently on vacation.
Let me be absolutely clear about what this means in practice: suppliers unpaid, payroll at risk, invoices bouncing, clients questioning your reliability — all while the institution holding your money hostage refuses to even acknowledge your existence.
This is not a compliance procedure. This is hostage-taking with a sleek UI.
Any serious financial institution understands that account restrictions are precisely the moment when communication matters most. Blocking a customer's access to their own money AND silencing every support channel simultaneously isn't caution — it's cruelty dressed up as process.
A frozen account without communication is not risk management. It's abandonment.
If you're a freelancer or small business considering Qonto, understand this: the moment something goes sideways — and in business, something always does — you will be talking to a wall. A beautifully designed, well-branded, completely silent wall.
I would give zero stars if Trustpilot allowed it.

Qonto has suspended our account due to us not being able to verify from the UAE. After contacting support they just ignore me even if funds are still in the account. They are a good bank but only if you are in their fold otherwise they just ignore you. Be aware!
