My starlink broke down somehow and needs replacement. Only chatbots available and no human interaction possible. No updates, hard to handle app and unsatisfying service. Once installed, it will be ok,... See more

If I could write 0 stars I would
If I could write 0 stars I would. Bought device during the Labor day sale in order to take advantage of discounts on the equipment as well as the "Free 30-day trial" which really wasn't free. I paid for and received the equipment. It didn't work and kept shutting down on the first day. The second day I get an invoice for $165 for the "Free" month to try it and supposedly if you send it back within that month, which I did, the $165 will be credited back to you, which it still has not been. This was after you pay for return shipping for the equipment, which they also failed to mention during the promotion. You cannot ask customer service any questions before ordering either, only an AI bot and wait a few days for a response. I sent the equipment back within 2 weeks and have yet to receive a refund. This feels like the typical bait and switch tactic and I had to dispute with my bank who are supposedly waiting for the refund to process after 20 something days now. I guess my next steps will be the Missouri State Attorney General office, the BBB, and the FTC.
better than all
living in the rural is nice but came with a price, we struggle to get good internet, we tried wodafone, eir, rural wifi, (imagine ,no signal) , with all we had issues, until i found starlink, easy to install, nice app, you can pause any device, you can turn off between hours sleep) etc. no issue with signal at all. recently we got fiber and we switch. 35€ was worth it.
This experience with starlink was horrific
This experience with starlink was a disaster!! A Horrible disaster. They sent the satellite to our home and it didn’t work. Then after several days of unsuccessful troubleshooting with their customer service I told them to just give me my money back. So I went through another service provider that works fine. Then almost a week later starlink said they going to send out an installer and crew to set everything up at my house!! What? Are you serious? Then I checked and I still haven’t recieved my refund. I told them that I already sent their satellite back and have another service provider already and still haven’t recieved my refund but here you all of a sudden trying to send someone out? When will I get my money back into my account? They said it takes 2-4 weeks to get your refund in your account!!!! Stay far as hell away from starlink as possible. They said it didn’t work at my home bc I have too many trees on my property. I don’t care if stil don’t take 3-4 weeks to get no refund!!! Worse experience ever. I’ve had AT&T, Direct Tv and Infinite and didn’t have any of these problems I’ve had with starlink.

Going on a month with no internet with Starlink being out. Can’t seem to get a hold of anyone with customer service and can’t get them to call me. This is a joke of a company!!
One star is being kind
One star is being kind. Honestly its not even a service. Its atrocious!! You could wrap a monkey up in tinfoil and give him a metal pole up a tree and you would get better internet. The router is abominable... terrible service. No help. Elon Musk is a fool
It's been impossible to try to return
It's been impossible to try to return. Shipping was late, I couldn't figure out how to use, and now I can't figure out how to return. Can't get a hold of customer support. Terrible experience. It's not even allowing me to cancel my subscription. Lawsuit waiting to happen.
Starlink has been fantastic for the 4…
Starlink has been fantastic for the 4 months that I've had it. It's simple to set up using the App and provides our home with a great connection to the internet. Not had to use any support from Starlink, everything works through the App.
Living in a reural area and a mobile dead zone, we also needed to change our landline as BT wouldn't fix their degraded copper wire. We hooked a new VOIP system up to it and it works brilliantly. (£1 per month)
BT have been awful with their billing, I'll never return.
No sales questions allowed - bye bye
Tried to buy it and could not talk to anyone in sales. I submitted a ticket which was a massive hassle (you literally can't ask anything before buying) and then after a few hours just got an auto-response. Very strange and I would never support them or have any faith in them to fix anything now. Keep it.
Starlink has been an excellent choice for our family.
We've had Starlink for 4 years now and it's the best rural internet we've ever had. We finally got broadband last year and switched for a few months but Starlink was faster and more reliable so we went back. My dish was destroyed by hail last year and they sent a complete replacement kit overnight without me even asking. A few minutes after I sent a support ticket they determined it couldn't be fixed and a few minutes later said a new one was on the way. We stream on 3 tvs have 2 gaming systems and several devices connected and never have an issue. We experienced a couple short outages (maybe 3 in 4 years) lasting only a few minutes to one that lasted a few hours. Not bad compared to every broadband company.
Poor service provider
Poor service provider.
Failed twice in 4 months. This never happen with Ziggo.
Extremely slow upload and download speeds. Can’t wait for the subscription to end!
Ordered & paid for a Starlink system…
Ordered & paid for a Starlink system almost two weeks ago, account constantly showed as pending for shipping. So after many more attempts than I care to remember trying to get an answer on why it wasn’t shipped ( useless chatbot) I sent a ticket to talk with a human , many days later I still had no contact.
Cancelled my order today. What an absolute sh1t company.
I was a huge fan of Starlink until this…
I was a huge fan of Starlink until this week. I have had the worst customer service one could imagine in today's advance technology world. A simple fix on my account to add a mini to my already exsisting account and i get nothing. I've been waiting for days to a response to a ticket and nothing and now I'm losing money in my business. This is really bad and as much as I have spoke for the company, its owner, and the products it has completely let me down. I've never had a company dehumanize me more than Starlink. That makes no sense when you see the owner online fighting for humanity so much. I'm stunned.
Customer service is useless I’ve been…
Customer service is useless I’ve been complaining about the issue for over 12 months and nothing has happened just been ignored you can’t go further than 10 meters away from the WiFi modem without losing connection even at 3 meters there scan shows poor signal and with a speed of 27mbps it’s slower than the government satellite nbn service and living in remote Australia with only 1 bar of mobile phone service its still faster than the Starlink I think Elon Musk needs to go back to basics and think about how he started not the bottom line I’ve now been disconnected because I told them I won’t pay until it’s been fixed so now when I need an ambulance which is often with medical conditions I have to use a uhf radio to raise an alarm for help shame on this service it was great for the first year now you’re just a number that pays for their lifestyle
Good in practice but not the complete solution in remote locations
Living remotely, miles from fibre broadband, in principle Starlink is excellent. In terms of simple internet access, they'd get 4 stars but this comes down to 2 because regularly, although the internet itself keeps working, it refuses to allow WiFi calling on EE. At the same time, it declares I am in the USA and thus access to certain UK sites is blocked.
As others have said, the support is non-existent and I think I may be driven to starting legal proceedings to recover the additional expenses I've incurred due to the incomplete service Starlink provides to the UK.
Activating starlink billing a nightmare
Bought a Starlink Mini 6th August. Tried to activate it today. Its having none of it. I'd have thought a billion dollar tech company could sort out its billing process. Nothing works. No helpline number. The help request has been ignored. Probably returning unit to vendor
Worst service ever
Worst service ever. Support tickets take 10 days to get a reply. Refund and service cancellation fail to be processed correctly resulting in erroneous charges of yearly subscriptions that are not owed.
ZERO SUPPORT WHEN NEEDED
I just started service today, and once I got it set up I had Internet for at least an hour or two. Now it says that my device is unplugged or it’s rebooting. It’s not rebooting and it’s not unplugged. I tried calling Support and they are only available Monday through Friday 8 AM to 4 PM CST WTF? So since today is Saturday, I have to wait till Monday before I can reach anyone? Are you kidding me?
Simple, Fast, Reliable
My DSL was once again down for multiple days. The provider simply said to be "patient". By coincidence I got an offer from Starlink for 1 month free trial.
Got the dish within 24h. Point to the sky, plug-in, ready to go! I was back up and running. I later put it on the roof.
What blows me away is the speed and the low latency. I guess it is not for everyone. If you live in a metro area with fiber to the home it makes no sense. But in the countryside this is a life changing technology.
I had a lightning
I had a lightning, strike my roof and damages the Starlink. I contacted customer support after finally finding a number that I could reach a person. The chat support is horrible. They told me buy a new unit and install it under Warranty and pay transfer acct fee. It’s been nearly a month and I have not received refund for purchase of replacement unit. Additionally, my new invoice is for 2 monthly services. I called today and was told my phone number is not linked to my account. When I called after lightning strike I was without power and internet. So I went to a friend’s house and used his phone to contact Starlink. Without asking they changed my account to his phone number. Now I’m waiting for them to figure out what they are going to do? This is horrible service. Do hard to reach them and they don’t follow thru on credits and change account phone numbers without asking if they should!
