Okay I checked it - clicked apply

Unchecked it - clicked apply

and it shows that delaying is now turned off.

I think it may be fixed.

I would try, check the box, click apply. Uncheck the box, click apply again.
Also, have you looked at your assp.cfg file to see if there is a line with

EnableDelaying:=

I'm not positive, but it looks like if the code does not find an entry in
the config file for a particular option, it uses a default value. If the
save function can't write that entry to the file (e.g. it's set read only or
permissions are too strict) it won't save your changes. Also, make sure that
there are no characters after the = sign. It should be =, then newline.

Try this:

Check 'Enable Delaying/Greylisting', hit Apply.
Open maillog.txt and verify the setting changed.

UnCheck 'Enable Delaying/Greylisting', hit Apply.
Open maillog.txt and verify the setting changed.


Checking it then unchecking it and then hitting apply does nothing as 
the program sees nothing as changed.

Then I generated the "changed defaults" listing again

and this is what it still says

DelayEmbargoTime: Embargo Time: Current: 1 Default: 5
DelayWaitTime: Wait Time: Current:  Default: 28

Changed Defaults is a read only output that shows the settings that have 
been changed. Making changed to it does nothing.

You need to go into the 'Delaying/Greylisting' section and uncheck 
'Enable Delaying/Greylisting' then click Apply.

What version are you running ? I cannot reproduce, what are you
describing.
For ham i was already planning a better way , so I implemented it in
(35).

I sent a few examples of the delay. Hopefully they were received okay.

I checked the override default settings area as suggested and the

enable delay option was set to 1.  Is that normal?

So I am guessing that I should set it to 0?
 I did this  to see if that will fix the issue.

The ASSP install was performed by a network team member so I am not sure if 
any settings were overwritten and do not know if that setting is set to 0 or 
1 by default.

Did you hit apply in the web interface?

Could you post an example from the ASSP maillog showing the delaying?

Click "Changed defaults" on the bottom left of the admin interface and 
see what 'EnableDelaying' is set to.

Also if the messages are coming from an automated system try adding the 
sending address to the 'No Delaying Spam-Lover' field. (this options is 
probably best)

via the web interface.

Even though it is turned off, all of our e-mails (most of them anyway) =
are being delayed anywhere from 5 - 60 minutes.

When I look at the e-mail details it shows ASSP is delaying the e-mails.

This appears to be a defect to me but perhaps I am overlooking =
something.
How do I turn off delaying?

We have a business model in which e-mails need to reach  us immediately =
while we are talking with customers on the phone.

ASSP looks every minute for updatet files and reloads them. make sure
that there is really an update on the disk.

To make it clear:
I am not asking for malformed mails, that can always happen (sender
not supplied).
I am asking  for *differences* between a spam-mail and the copy of it.

Yes, also 1.3.0 truncates up from 10K (that's my 
MaxBytes BTW). Not only CCSpam but CCHam as well.

That's what makes me sick as I can't open majority of 
attachments in CCHam.

No, it works in Linux as well.

The killall man page doesn't go into great detail about signals, but it
does say:

Signals can be specified either by name (e.g. -HUP) or by number (e.g.
-1).

To get the details on signals, use

man 7 signal

Note that SIGHUP and HUP are functionally equivalent AFAIK.

Why would we not want the spam with a foreign charset to be added to the

spam collection and therefore spamdb?  Or am I missunderstanding
