Hi Fritz, I'm currently using v2, there's a way to share these informations ? Where I can find a detailed guide to mail interface, seems to don't work as expected, i would use the spam and blacklist/whitelist commands only. Thanks Mik Il 22 aprile 2012 07:58, Fritz Borgstedt <fb...@iw...> ha scritto: > For Users of ASSP <ass...@li...> schreibt: >> >>i have two ASSP server with configuration sharing, in case of >>Greylisting/Delay the two >>server are sharing also the triplets to recognize if the connecting >>client is already in the database ? > > > > You have to use mySQL in V1 to share the delaydb. > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ > For Developers, A Lot Can Happen In A Second. > Boundary is the first to Know...and Tell You. > Monitor Your Applications in Ultra-Fine Resolution. Hi, I was wondering where I am supposed to file a bug report, Mantis on SourceForge has no issues! In any case, it is a very simple fix: in the subroutine BlockReasonsGet, put $webAdminPort = [split(/:/,$webAdminPort)]->[1] if $webAdminPort =~ /.*:.*/ ; right after the (line 27197) my $webAdminPort line. I was using a IP number:port number value for that this covers the situation where $webAdminPort has both a IP address and a port number - this was corrupting the href attribute in the links of the Block Report - re: lines 27591 and 27593 and Thunderbird wasn't displaying them properly ASSP version 2.1.1 (12090) I'll file this in the right spot if someone can tell me where to. doug |

Good day to all, i have two ASSP server with configuration sharing, in case of Greylisting/Delay the two server are sharing also the triplets to recognize if the connecting client is already in the database ? What happen if first time the connecting client's mail server is delayed on first ASSP and five minutes later is trying to send mail using the second ASSP ? Both ASSP server are public and balanced through mx preferences. Thanks Mik |

Anyone? I have recently upgraded to ASSP Version 2.1.1(12090) and this problem still occurs. I have never seen this before and it does validate other email addresses that are all numbers. The watchdog simply check if the ASSP pid exists . If the pid does not exists it restarts ASSP . I check if the pid exists using # ps xo "pid args" | grep "assp.pl" | grep -v "grep" 21315 /usr/bin/perl -- /usr/local/assp/assp.pl /usr/local/assp When ASSP crashes there is no ASSP process running, the command above returns nothing, the ASSP log is stopped . Only in this situation the watchdog restarts ASSP. However to be sure I also tried to remove the watchdog ; the ASSP process disappears and I could stay for hours without ASSP , nothing will restart ASSP. Did it crash or did the watchdog restarted ASSP because it could not f ind the PID. If it crashed, there should something in the log. |

Hello I had some server which were crashing very often during peak hours with lot of smtp traffic , does not matter the ASSP version (however always using a recent version 1.9.6.x) . Without a common reason the ASSP pid disappears and ASSP needs to be restarted using a watchdog which is monitoring the existence of ASSP pid. In some server it could happens 3, 5, 10 , 20 times per day depending on traffic . Every time I was trying to debug the issue running ASSP using AsADaemon:=0 from ssh console, but in this way ASSP was not crashing for hours, so I was not understanding the reason of crashes. So I tested 3 servers having this behavior (frequent crashes , a lot of traffic) , and I run them using AsADaemon:=0 . After 4 days (and still testing) in these 3 server I had NO ASSP crash , ASSP worked with no problem at all for all days and continuing . The good thing is that I was/am able to run ASSP with AsADaemon:=0 using an external script , without leaving the SSH console open for days (it only needed to kill the starter script once ASSP is started) . To resume ASSP seems to be more stable , much more stable , using AsADaemon:=0 . Graziano |
