Professional and painless
Saw Helen Jameson at Stowmarket branch about switching accounts to TSB. Very professional and helpful (two words that rarely go hand in hand nowadays). Constantly lowering interest rates
I opened my TSB account very recently and they are already lowering the interest rate. Because of the fact that it's an account where you'll be penalised for taking out your money, I'm now gonna miss out on the interest for however long because I now need to move my money out of that account into a new ISA, because they're absolutely incompetent who just can't leave things the way they are. I just opened the account and you lower the interest rate immediately. That is the most frustrating thing.

I was helped in branch at Stowmarket by Nathan. He advised me on the best way to invest my money and clarified many points. I also opened a new current account which served my purposes better.
I had forgotten my online banking device so he helped me with everything necessary to facilitate the online banking side of dealing with the money transfers. He was so patient with me and my chaotic nature. Nathan could not have been more helpful and professional. The term 'above and beyond' was definitely applicable in this instance.

I’ve had a £700 Tui refund sent on 17th dec 25 which has never arrived. Tui have said the refund was processed and sent but it never came. After backing and forwarding I got a arn number to give to my bank. The bank said they’d look into it after saying they’ll have to do a deep dive which will take 5 days. Nearly 2 weeks later I rang up only to be told there is no record of the phone call and no record of other bank departments looking into it. Had to start all over again to be told the exact same thing and now it’s nearly 2 weeks again with not reply (was told both times I would get a call AND text to tell of progress). Now I need to know where to go from here as my bank can’t find it and to be honest, just kept fobbing me off and I’m starting to get very angry about this. DO NOT bank with tsb, the don’t know what they’re doing. And also, getting someone foreign on the end of the line every single time don’t not help at all when they’re struggling to understand english
helpfull and professonal
I need to open a bank account for my 93-year-old mother. I was having some difficulty doing this online and getting nowhere fast. The local branch organised a Zoom call with the video banking team, in particular Giles Carter. Giles was patient with my mother and explained everything we needed to do. His knowledge of the systems and products was exemplary, resulting in achieving what we needed. he took all the stress out of the process. I would also say a word for the local branch in Gloucester, in particular, Josh, who is again very helpful.

Bereavement and Power of attorney help
First contact with TSB as a non-customer dealing with a bereavement and activation of a Lasting Power of Attourney to manage a family members account. Filled in an enquiry form one evening, call back the next day from Pauline (Scottish lady if that helps identify her) who outlined the process and guided me through. To be honest I knew nothing about the financial service products that TSB offered before I made an appt with their super efficient advisor Lesley Teer. Thankfully I'm now more up to speed with it and dare I say more financially enriched as a result. Would definitely recommend.

Everything takes too long…
Everything takes too long, and they don’t even meet the timeframes they suggest. I opened an savings account, but I’m unable to access the funds without a current account or visiting a branch (closest an hour away). So I’ve set up a current account to the be told I have to set up a separate login. I’m then told I have to allow 9 days for this to be combined with my savings ‘login’. 9 days pass to then be told they are now submitting the form again, and it will be a further 9 days. No update… I chase and they inform me it will be done ‘as soon as possible’ but no ETA. Still being unable to access funds. I then decide to close the account on the basis I’m told I can transfer the funds on closure to an account of my choosing. Oh wait, a day later it’s cheque only…
Just not good enough, totally disappointed with the disjointed, poor service.

Changed to TSB tried to log on to internet bank all I get is it’s been a while re register the app keeps taken you around and around when you have forgotten your password not good enough will look for another bank.Now I have been lock out of online banking absolutely disgusting no wonder people don’t trust banks
TSB blocked a payment to my credit…
TSB blocked a payment to my credit card. Then I got a message saying to call them. After 20 minutes someone picked up and said they would have to transfer me to somebody else but I wouldn’t have to wait …Still waiting 20 mins later. All just to make a payment to my credit card. Hideous service and a pathetic app. I’ve been a customer for over 30 years but this has finally motivated me to go to anybody else.

I highly recommend Paul Godrey from Customer services -switch team for her diligence, patience and professional guidance with my very various and complicated TSB accounts. My husband and I had accounts dating back over twenty years (some with business and some current accounts) that needed a professional to review,cancel and reset in a joint account. She completed and resolved all our problems, by video link over two appointment. Her voice. patience, information all had complete clarity. She understanding, explained details (even when I had problems setting up a video link) with real care and consideration of my situation. I highly recommend Paula for TSB customers who need help with accounts. In my opinion she is a great ambassador to the TSB Banking team.
